Unlimited allows you to dine at any specialty restaurant if it is open and they can accommodate you. No additional charges. Most of the restaurants limit you to 1 main course per visit.

The UDP allows you to eat at any specialty restaurant that is open for lunch or dinner as long as they can accommodate you. So, yes. You can eat at Izumi and then later at Chops so long as they have availability. You are better off making reservations than just showing up and hoping they can seat you.

My favorite CT was on Anthem. It was held in a private room in the back of Chops. It was very private and intimate and we had some audacious guests that were a hoot ! We took everyone back to our Grand Loft Suite afterwards and had a party. It was so much fun. Yen even joined us for a little while (she did not drink any alcohol though). Probably the best setting we have had for CT was on Allure many years ago. CT was in the upstairs area of the Diamond Lounge. Beautiful setting.

We were on Oasis in Dec 19 and the CT was, indeed, set up in the CK. We did not go to CT, but that’s where it was. Not very special, IMO.

Unfortunately, no. Only the Unlimited package includes lunches.

+2. Dan and I both hate slots. We will avoid the casino entirely if all they offer is slots.

Fantasy was my first cruise but I won’t lament. It was a pretty unremarkable cruise with a bunch of women I barely knew. Frankly, I’m surprised that I ever tried cruising again.

Something that hasn't really been discussed that much is the fact that we have "heard" that Royal intends on beginning with short cruises. What does that mean for those of us who have 7+ day cruises coming up in the "near future" (let's just say this is within the next 12 months) ? Are they going to shorten these already-booked cruises ? Are they going to cancel them and offer some different, short cruises ?

I think the itin has to be the same too. IOW, if you are on an Eastern Caribbean on Rhapsody then you have to L&S to an Eastern.

It sounds like you can do all of the electronic part at any time (maybe even while still in the terminal ?) but I think the personal visit to the muster area itself may have a specific timeframe. I guess we’ll have to see how they work it. We would definitely be ones to do it as quickly as possible to get it over with.

I agree that you should be able to get a refund unless you upgraded to a suite, in which case they may penalize you ($100 PP) for cancelling a suite. Not sure how a NRD might apply but probably not.

I think you are wise to book now. I agree with you. Once the decision is made to begin cruising again I think prices will rise (not sure about skyrocket). IMO if Royal isn’t cruising in Europe (or anywhere else, for that matter) by May 2021, we will have bigger issues than rising prices.

We’ll be in a lowly JS (at least, for now) so not sure if we’ll be able to get into the CK but hopefully some time in 30+ days we can find a time to sneak in. If the stars align just right (but mostly if they don’t cancel our Nov and Dec cruises....big if), we will turn Pinnacle on the HNL-YVR leg. Yippee !!

We’re just staying put for now. Truly, aside from missing cruising, I really don’t mind staying home. My work life was such a whirlwind the past few years - so much travel. I’m glad to be home for a change. Dan is busy as a bee with yard work and I’m cooking waaay more than I ever have before. I’m content. For now, I am happy just seeing all of this <cancelled> cruise money come pouring back in ! I will stay home, put my money in the bank and wait until it’s time to cruise again.
