I've also never seen the legendary "pillow menu" even on all of the Star Class cruises we've been on.....but I think it's possible to request a choice of pillow types. We just never think to do that....whatever they provide is always fine with us. Maybe I will try and remember to see if the pillow menu really exists !

Royal will pay but it isn’t much. I think they offered me $300 for a lost bag. The bag was worth more than that not to mention the contents. Travel insurance will reimburse you for anything in excess of $300 but it’s a hassle; you have to provide receipts or replacement costs for anything you claim. I found it to just be too much work so I marked it up to a lesson learned. I now carry my own luggage off the ship and do not leave it out the night before. Expensive lesson.

Not a stupid question at all ! Yes, the Suites Concierge will make your dining plan reservations for you before you board. One of the great suites perks.

Back in the olden times there used to be one Caribbean island that allowed the casino to operate while in port but of course, I can’t remember which one it was…. I do recall the agreement with the Bahamas that @twangsterreferred to as well.

Just one word of caution about buying a single, multiple device plan. As long as everyone abides by the rules that they can only have 1 device each connected at any one time, all will be well. Just realize that if one person (of the 4) decides that they want to switch from their phone to their ipad and fails to first, log off, when they try to connect to the ipad (with their phone still connected) they may well knock one of the other 3 off of their device. If you anticipate that people will be switching between devices, it might be a better plan to have everyone with their own individual plans (the more expensive option). If everyone understands that they can only have 1 device at the time connected then it will work just fine. Since Dan and I are constantly switching back and forth between devices we have found it more harmonious to each have our own plan so that when we switch devices without first logging off, we are only affecting ourselves and not each other.

I’m pullin for ya to have better experience this time, too. Good for you to give it another try. I think things will be better going forward. I can confirm that a week of walking all the way aft to the ATS can be a challenge. Our first 3 SC experiences were in ATS but since we discovered the convenience of deck 17, we haven’t been back.

I really have no idea how it works these days. BC you could go online and choose whether wanted to be automatically upgraded (should an upgrade opportunity present itself) or whether you wanted to be contacted and approve an upgrade first. The auto upgrade happened for us twice…..then they implemented RoyalUp and I think the days of C&A auto upgrades is pretty much gone. Why give away something that you can sell ? I haven’t heard of a C&A upgrade in years. I think @twangstergot one recently but they are very rare these days.

While bottles of liquor are not provided as part of the SC package, I have known plenty of instances where individual drinks were delivered to SC suites. It always seemed like a huge hassle to us to ask for individual drinks to be delivered so we would just pop down to the SL and get it if we wanted it (an advantage of being on Deck 17 and big disadvantage to those in ATS). The only time we ever paid for any alcohol when we were SC was when we ordered a couple of glasses of Caymus from Vintages which were well above the drink $$ threshold. I take it back. We also paid for a couple of bottles of sparkling wine for 2 cabin crawls that we organized.

I’ve had ice cream from Sugar Beach which was complimentary when we were SC in Dec 2019 but candy would have been extra $$. We were always offered complimentary popcorn during the theater shows but we almost always went to the theater directly from dinner so were never interested in popcorn. I have heard of many instances where popcorn was delivered to the suite (usually for children) when requested.

Chops is the one restaurant where you are limited to 1 entree.
