I have found very few deals on spa services in the Cruise Planner. I suspect you will find better deals once on board and as @Travelermentioned, the better deals are generally on port days. “Deal” is a relative term. There really aren’t any true deals on a cruise ship spa.

I don't think anyone knows the answer to this question but my guess is the answer is "no". I cannot see Royal offering up any new cabins with all of the COVID issues that are going on. I thought I had read that they had closed off all cruises to new bookings for the next few weeks. Not sure that went as far out as 1-30-22 though. We were originally booked on this cruise (OA 1-30-22) but cancelled (along with 2 other Oasis January sailings) a few weeks back. As far as I know, our suite (Star Loft) never came back on the market. I figured they were going to just hold it for RoyalUp. Who knows ?

The only reason the Genie would not contact you is if your sailing is within say...48 hours. If there is time, they will contact you. Congratulations. This is wonderful news. What SC category will you be in ??

The RoyalUp bid is for 2 people only, regardless of how many people are booked. That total, for 2 people, is the total price for both people for the entire cruise. If you bid $100 and win the bid, you would be charged $200 which will upgrade you for the whole cruise ! If you are a solo cruiser, you are still charged for 2 people.

Yes, he loves the lamb shank that is served in the MDR....it's usually the last night of the cruise on a 7 night itin. They almost always yank that one [lamb] on shorter cruises. Since we never dine in the MDR anymore, he will always make sure that he gets the lamb shank no matter where we are dining that night. CK will bring it to you and so will the specialty restaurants. Just let the kitchen know that you are going to be asking for the lamb shank and they can have it on hand for you. I am not a lamb fan so I get something else, but he dearly loves it.

I also agree that a smoking venue with GOOD ventilation and exhaust would be a welcome feature even though I do not smoke...but pity the poor crew that has to work there. I guess it's no different than the casino crew who have worked in the smoky casino for years....
