After the arrival of the  Carnival Elation. There was a yacht behind it.
But after the Yacht it was time for the Celebrity Equinox arrival into Nassau.

After watching that great arrival Of  the Celebrity Equinox. It was then time for lunch in the windjammer. and then after that lunch It was time to go back to the flowrider. This wave Session was not at all packed and I was able to get 15+ rides in.

This has to be one of my favorites of all the... hundreds? More likely thousands of photos you've taken. I don't care that it's only January 21, this one has got to (a) get into Friday Photos at some point, and (b) be a finalist for Best Cruise Photo of 2020.

I wonder if grandpa has ever come back to his car in a snow storm and found his car full of snow because he didn't know his window was open?
Probably has a wicked air conditioning bill in the summer when the windows in the house are open.
Drive through restaurants must be a PITA for him.  Is the window open or not?  So confusing.
Is he a Mac IT professional because Windows seems to give him a lot of trouble.

To be fair, the OP did say "while at sea", which does strongly suggest it was only being considered for sea days. That's why I was only offering the considerations of more visibility from one's neighbors than might be thought possible from the description of "private balcony" by Royal.
@NEbluebird, I hope it's clear that while there is some gentle ribbing we are still trying to give helpful and constructive answers.

My Symphony sailing had booking for entertainment show up about 120 days out.  On Ovation it was about 45 days. So basically, just keep checking.

Rooms open about 1-1:30pm, but be aware that your luggage may not arrive until later in the evening. If luggage comes early, count your blessings, but if not be aware.

Well good moring from Nassau. Today I was planning to get up and see our arrival into port but I slept in a little bit too late. But I was able to catch the arrival of the Carnival Liberty.

At 8:00am Sharp she was docked beside us.
At 8:45am The Grand Classica was arriving into her dock space in Nassau.

After her arrival It was time to hit the wave. The lines were pretty short for stand up today. but the lines for bogie board was super long. So instead of riding I was able to see the Carnival Elation pull into port. She pasted the lighthouse at 10:15am.

Also today they were having a crew lifeboat drill. They used the horn twice during the drill and it happen once when I was on the wave.

One sad thing about the Elation was the rust on her. She had more rust spots on her than the Grand Classica. And I believe The Grand Classica is older.

And a sunburn will be a sad way to spend the cruise.  Or perhaps seeing yourself on you tube.  Worse yet being  arrested for indecent exposure in a foreign country.

If you do the bridge tour you can see they have a good view of all the balconies from the wings down each side of the ship.
They even have binoculars if something catches their eye ?
They may even send a naked naked naked call on the Internal PA

Just as long as you understand that your balcony is "not that private".

Also depending on your location, you could be in direct view of a ship camera like we were...but everyone has different comfort levels with their own bodies.

There is no rule against it.  Someone I met at Diamond happy hour told me their adults kids enjoy "naked breakfast" on their balcony, something I've never heard of before.  To each their own.

You can, but I don't recommend it. Depending on your location, people fore and aft might have a clear view onto a decent chunk of your balcony space. And on some ships, cabins on higher decks are able to see the balconies of cabins lower down.
All of this is assuming an ocean view balcony, not something like a central park / boardwalk balcony on Oasis class ships where you have the people on the other side of the ship able to see everything.

Thank you so very much Twangster for another great blog.  Your blogs are so wonderful like a good book you don't ever want to put down!
I love the Anthem too!  We were on a second 9 night which I wish was longer like yours last May in a Jr. Suite and that Coastal Kitchen was a definite favorite of ours!
All your beautiful pictures I feel should be in books too!

This blog is probably one of my favorites of yours to date.  I enjoyed seeing the pictures of the ship and am glad it has fewer pages (thank you to those who didn't repost your photos when replying to one of your posts).  You went home??  I didn't know you ever went home-thought you basically lived on a cruise ship lately.  At any rate, keep enjoying those cruises.  I cannot wait to try a Quantum class ship sometime.

@Mikeb1892, regarding your USB cable question: Be aware that the USB ports on the ship are the low-amperage variety that charges phones fairly slowly, and may not deliver enough current to be able to charge a tablet. You may want to look at something more like this, which plugs into a standard outlet and provides high-speed / high-current charging ports as well as standard lower-current / slower-charging ones. I have one of these, and have never had a problem bringing it on board.
Pro tip for when you get to Cape Liberty. Make sure to stay in the right lane after you get through the port gate. That is the lane to be in for luggage drop-off before you go to the garage, while the left lane is for people passing that area and going straight to passenger pick-up. And pay close attention to the men directing traffic, as they will tell you which drop-off spot to pull into, if you need to stop while traffic clears, etc. Believe me when I say they will tear you a new one if you ignore their directions! (I've witnessed this first-hand)
