  1. I sailed on Symphony in February 2020 before all hell broke loose and enjoy the Starbucks onboard many times.

Fast forward to today and I am looking at the deck plans as I am booking a September 2021 cruise and now the deck plans do not say Starbucks but just Coffee Shop now.

I looked at the Oasis deck plans and it does say Starbucks.  Did they end their Starbucks agreement and as ships return they will just be coffee shops?

We too do not fly in the day of departure so no issue there, however we chose the British Colonial Hilton as we thought it would be more convenient to the cruise port. If RCI does check in over on Paradise Island at Atlantis that’s some taxi rides for us?  Hopefully that won’t be the only option.

Unless it has changed, the British Colonial Hilton will be the check in point for the cruise from Nassau.  I am staying there for my September cruise so I hope that is still the plans.  Details should be coming out soon since the first cruise is less than 30 days away.

This is a good point. Who on earth named it Boaty McBoatface?? I bet Fantasy and Marvel are Disney TM's.

Fantasy is not trademarked as there already is both a Disney Fantasy and a Carnival Fantasy....well Carnival scrapped their Fantasy last July.

Carnival was using the name for about 8 years before Disney named their ship.

L&S has been a major win

Unless you are on a recent April cancelled cruise, then you are limited to just 4 dates as the program ends April 30, 2022.

I have a cancelled B2B on Navigator and had 4 dates on each to choose and only one of the dates was March so until they extend the L&S my options are limited.

There is L&S programmed in the system and then there is some form of shifting that can be accomplished irrespective of what you call it.

My TA was able to somehow shift two cruises today that were non-refundable and would otherwise have incurred the standard $100 fee but she did it without any fees.

Both had already been the benefactor of "magic" shifts already that weren't within the norms of L&S.  Both were in 2021 and not in immediate jeopardy.  Yet somehow she got them shifted into 2022 on different ships, in different regions, with different durations and different cabins in different months.

A good travel agent is hard to beat.  It is at times like this I really appreciate a good TA.  I've cruised a bunch and don't need a TA but I always use one.  I doubt I would have been able to pull off what she accomplished today.

The best part is... all I had to do is tell her what I wanted to do.  "Do you think I could do this...?" .  Hours later - done.

Thanks!  I used MEI in the passed but did not like my agent so I went to Costco for this cruise.  I do have 3 cruises with MEI now since my last agent left, 1 was gifted to her from the old agent and 2 additional cruises booked.

Ironically I was able to shift to the one I desired and was available online even after Costco being told no.  It was requested yesterday around noon and I had an email about Cruise Planner cancellations at 8p, logged in and the new requested cruise was there.

I am happy to say I will be on Symphony of the Seas for my 50th Birthday in 2022!

Not clear on what you mean. Assume by Back 2 Back you mean two separate cruises such as one seven night itinerary followed by a different seven night itinerary, but on the same ship?

Or one itinerary on one ship followed by a second itinerary on a second ship embarking/disembarking at the same port (same or different cruise line)?

    1 ship, 2 different sailings....so a 4 day cruise followed by a 3 day cruise for us.

  7. With the new recommended COVID testing guidelines will Back 2 Back cruise options go away?

We are booked on Navigator in April and of course lots can happen between now and then but we are thinking for safety sake to go ahead and change to a 7 day cruise.

Thoughts?  Of course nothing is final yet and we aren't even cruising, figure it is better to change now and lock in a price than to wait.

I'm excited for you DanielB! I almost got my first B2B on Mariner and am determined to make it happen next year ? Enjoy!

Thanks!  Honestly I was sold on only doing Oasis Class ships but really looking forward to this....ok so at this point a dingy floating around sounds amazing, ready for a return to cruising and hope it happens sold like everyone else.

I would definitely consider purchasing the 3 day UDP as well.  That way, you will get lunch on both embarkation days (unless they change the rules on us before they start cruising again).  Right now the UDP is a pretty good price.  I paid $76 PP for the 3 night and $99 PP for the 4 night, which is really quite reasonable considering all of the dining options on NAV.

Same price for my cruises and they are both bought!  Figured I could always cancel but I have that price locked in.

Thanks so much for sharing your passed experience and expertise.  ?

Pre-Covid, they make you go through customs and then back onboard the ship.  In my experience, it took 20 mins.  Not sure how it will work once the cruise lines are allowed to sail again.  I assume it will be much longer turnaround since they will be doing more sanitizing in the staterooms.

    Good points.....thanks for the reply.
