Any separate reservations can be linked as long as you have their sailing number and DOB. We sail sometimes with my wife's two best friends and we will link our accounts as they know how diligent my wife is on check in, reservations, boarding times, etc. We all coordinate our schedules but at the beginning they let us do the sign in as they know my wife will be up at midnight on check in day to get the earliest boarding time.

Suite grand piano information
CrznTxn replied to ScooterScott22's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We have gone by the "piano" suites on various ships and have heard them playing. We figured they were booked by folks who actually knew how to play hearing the melodious music that was coming out. The latest cruise we were on we happened to go by with the door open while it was being cleaned and to our surprise the piano was playing away and no one was sitting there. Guess that answered our question. -
Always, always tip when you receive a free drink. It is proper etiquette and you end up getting much better service. We bring a big stack of one's for this purpose alone and the waiters usually come back frequently and we learn their names and speak to them by name when they come back around. Makes for fantastic service and we let them know when we are coming back for another cruise and they look for us and the service is phenomenal.

We have been cruising every month since last August and ALWAYS have a printed copy of our documents. The folks checking us in have thanked us every time and we have breezed through to the ship while other were fumbling through their phones. Do not get me wrong, I have all the latest high tech devices and am a big techie for work BUT after poor WIFI at the terminal and swiping through multiple screens I discovered it was not me with the issue, it was the person checking us in. These folks were looking for the PRINTED COVID negative test result to highlight it with their marker and they just could not do that on my phone screen (snicker from the old days of "whiteout" on the computer screen). The next person that was checking us in was looking for that highlighted page and we had to start over and go over everything again since it was not printed out. Now we have it printed and organized and we almost do not stop walking during our check in from start to finish.

The rooms lately have been ready around 1:00pm on our recent sailings. That was pretty much normal pre-pandemic. Enjoy your lunch at Windjammer with the packed house, check in for your eMuster and have a drink or two. At least you do not have to do the crowded muster drill of yesteryear.

For our Christmas cruise we took battery operated small LED light that we put on the door with magnetic hooks with a Christmas tree. For Thanksgiving we decorated the door with turkeys and for Halloween I walked around all day with a T-Rex head on (with a long flexible straw for the dino drinks) and the ship had a costume party that night where many guests really went all out in the costume department.

Yep, loved the "double" cruises. Have one left in August before ours all run out. Just could not fork out that much money at that time to schedule more.

We always place the luggage tag on the top and not the side of the case. We place it on the carry handle, not the extending handle. That way it is easily visible when the luggage is in the hallway and you are trying to find it. Really does not matter, just easier to see. We also purchased the ones with the metal cable instead of the stretching plastic band. The holders have metal eyes and the cable never breaks.

Number of Passengers For Each Assigned Boarding Times
CrznTxn replied to rbdavis3591's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
On our last sailing out of Galveston the 10:30 line was very long but when they did open a few minutes late it went rapidly. Seemed several hundred people signed up for the early slot and we were #100. The 11:00 am line was virtually empty compared to the 10:30 line and they got onboard not too long after we did. Wife is thinking we may move our boarding time to 11:00 for the upcoming cruise but more rabid heads prevailed and we are sticking with the earlier slot. -
May through November is hurricane season so you never know. We have 5 scheduled in that time and know if there is any really bad weather Royal may change the ports of call to make the trip more pleasant. Have had that happen twice and ended up having a great time at the "replacement" ports.

Yes, perfect size. The sea pass is credit card size.

Ours has taken about two weeks on the last several cruises. Early on it was just a few days but with the increase of passengers it is now taking a little longer. It has always been approved at least two weeks before our sail date.

I wear a work ID on a retractable clip but on the ship I only bring out the card for getting in the room or ordering drinks. I wear gym shorts with pockets so not a problem for me. The wife on the other hand is team laynard and has her favorite that is packed first thing in her backpack. The luggage tags we purchased several years ago, two sizes for each of the various cruise lines. After first use we will not leave home without them. The steel cable keeps it from ripping off and we remove and pack them in the return luggage as soon as we get in the room. Have passed them around for our kids and grandkids cruises and have never had an issue. If you cruise more than once a year they are nice and in our book a necessity.

Did not have any issues using WIFI calls on on our AT&T account onboard. The only issue we had was an auto update occurring overnight and resetting the data roaming to on. Noticed it right away and turned it off. Cost us $9 on our bill, not enough to worry but made us very vigilant and turned off auto update when on a cruise.

They will have lots of business from the newbies but we will still park at our locked, inside parking for less and they recently moved just for Royal Caribbean cruisers only four blocks from the new terminal.- 971 replies

Have had it rain several times on shore excursions, especially on the beach ones. During one of them I was out snorkeling and looked around and everyone had gone in and was under cover. What the heck, I was wet anyway and the cool rain just beat down on my back and kept things cool. Usually it is not like back home where rain storms are accompanied by a lot of lightning. Best time ever.

We use our TSA locks on all our cruises. Unlike the airports, the port security does not open your bags and if there is a "suspicious" item they see they will hold your luggage on board and you will have to go claim it and open it for inspection. Mouthwash bottles shaped like liquor bottles and magnets stuck together in some "suspicious" shape are the biggest culprits. Know from experience.

With more people on the ships they have started opening up earlier check-in times. We saw a 10:30 slot on our June cruise check-in and snagged it. The wife went back and checked our May cruise on a whim where we had an 11:00 time slot as the earliest but it now showed 10:30. She snagged it and now we can start enjoying our vacation a little earlier. It is the little things in life that give us the greatest pleasure.

FYI check while booking your kids sail free
CrznTxn replied to TheRick's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The good advice is to always check your bookings and not assume everything comes up correct. We now only book by phone and even then have it sent to us by email immediately where we check it for correctness before we hang up. There have been several times where something was not applied or something we did not want was applied. We do this before the credit card charge is applied. It is easier to have them fix it immediately and resend it than to try and fix it later. -
Have yet to find a way to do this in the "new" planner. We have to put everything in the app now as soon as we get onboard. We have a list of possibilities when we get onboard but do the entry once we get there. Wish the app had audible reminders of our picks to let us know of upcoming events. Hear that Royal app developers!!!!

They still make you take everything out to show it (they have for us) but we also have them as it keeps everything in one place and in pristine condition both when we travel and at home.

You can add cash to your onboard account once you are on the ship.
