Texting between two phones on board?

Ok to ask about on board credit up front?
TXcruzer replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I absolutely ask, every time. For me it is part of the comparison shopping I employ before booking; and I find the answers and amounts are incredibly variable. -
One tag on the outside of the bag (in the plastic sleeve holder) and one copy of the tag INSIDE the bag. Go Air Force!

There are no “rules” merely suggestions. Wear what you are comfortable wearing.

Fireworks at Perfect Day in Coco Cay?
TXcruzer replied to Virgie's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
It’s no more a “pay-for-play” port than any other port one stops at; in fact less so; I’ve never been granted free drinks and food in Cozumel, Jamaica, St Thomas..................... -
They do not

The above link does not address closed loop cruise requirements, only air and land travel. While on a cruise you are more governed by the WHTI, and actually never "enter: the country, rather you are considered "in transit".
-
On a closed loop cruise, no one cares about 6 month validity; heck you don't even need a passport at all for this itinerary, so length of validity is a non issue.

Passports required to embark in Martinique
TXcruzer replied to Ditchdoc's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Interesting, thanks for the information. I think we need to be expanding our horizons all around that area to “freshen up” The Caribbean experience; as it has gotten quite stale. -
Passports required to embark in Martinique
TXcruzer replied to Ditchdoc's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Amazes me anyone would leave their home country without a passport, that said I have a question. I don’t recall ever seeing a RCI itinerary that stops in Martinique; obviously I have missed something? -
This links to a document that has the APP status on the fleet, it is a living document and updates as necessary. I don’t know who to give credit to, this link was shared with me on another site. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kZ1gCFtt1eiX1OWw9q-8tnEU5uQCWIjBwQt-w3t040s/htmlview#gid=1881900306

Documents Needed. Need answer ASAP :-(
TXcruzer replied to mkhayden05's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Definitely a different situation in Australia, thanks for posting it, i learned something today. In the US however, if a US citizen, one can travel on a “closed loop” cruise (departing and returning to same US port) with a drivers license, but must be accompanied by Birth Certificate to prove residency. I am not curious, in Australia do they only issue drivers license to residents? If not is there a different type of drivers license for non residents? -

If going this route one would also need to present a certified Birth Certificate. Passport is far and away easier. -
This has not been our experience at all, we cruise out of San Juan often (always stay at Hilton Caribe BTW). While it is true Uber can't pick you up at the airport, we have NEVER had any issues with Uber picking us up right at the concierge stand at the hotel. Also, I feel that the price difference between cabs and ride share in San Juan is the greatest of any major city i have been to, the cabs are VERY expensive, and the Uber rates very reasonable.

Last year I purchased my black Friday drink package deal on Monday of Thanksgiving week.

I just set my account up as a cash account, we don't spend much on board, pre pay most all we can. Early debarkation morning (around 5:00 or so as I am an early riser) I go down to GS, there is never a line, and pay the final bill with my AMEX, never any holds, never any "suspect" charges after the fact, as they can not charge anything else to that card but for the one single transaction.

find yourself a nice carry on sized bag with 360 degree wheels

And I generously tip my waiter/waitress and my room attendant just like I do “at home” I don’t tip the maintenance man nor the laundry staff “at home” and choose not to while cruising. I consider clean linen, dishes, and operational functionality to be covered in full by my cruise fare.

Then it isn’t a gratuity, it’s “salary subsidization”

The listing of “other hotel services” is what causes me to cancel the auto gratuity. I can’t imagine who else in “hotel services” I would tip.

How does the onboard account work....?
TXcruzer replied to kittysoul's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Don’t mess with the gift certificates, it just adds extra unnecessary complicated steps. Call Royal, and tell them you want to pre purchase OBC; as long as you have the reservation number they will simply take your CC number and add the credit to the folio. -
Just buy one, if you use up all the punches purchase another. Side note, I like to get "large" sized coffee in the morning with 2 shots of espresso, they will punch your card twice for this drink, thus the coffee card really isn't a good bargain for people like me; also on many ships they will not allow you to get frappuccino type drinks with the punch card.

Harmony changes to “Wear Your Best”
TXcruzer replied to ChrisK2793's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I wear tailored shorts, and a collared shirt with dress sandals or flip flops in the MDR all the time
