Travel day update:
My parents and Sis/BIL/N11/N9 have made it to DTW. They texted about an hour ago and everything looks ok at the moment. My sister said that the gates and runways look clear. There are a total of 6 Delta direct flights from DTW-FLL today. The first two (7am and 10:30am) have departed without issue. My parents/sis are on 3rd flight and we are on the last one out tonight. Still crossing those fingers and praying for the best!
I keep watching your flights too (totally invested on hoping you guys make it out) and their flight will be fine. The plane you will be on is coming from Seattle today and should arrive in DTW after all the worst of the snow is due to end. I think you are good to go!

That sounds just like ours. 50% shoes, 25% evening clothes, 25% hair products lol
I feel this on so many levels. I'm 99% positive that The Boss packed shoes that she hasn't worn in years.....and still didn't wear them on the cruise

A quick hop on the Google says that standard doors are 23”-24” wide. I found a link to RC and info on their accessible cabins and those doors are 32”-34” wide. Like said above an email to them will confirm.

No, I don't think so. It's counter sort of like a specialty restaurant. And when I went there last time. Most of early dining times were already reserved from the ship.
As mentioned above, I wonder if people are asking at the shore excursion desk. We were there last February and asked when we wanted to make a lunch reservation when we walked into the beach club.
-
I'm pretty sure you actually make that reservation at the beach club when you arrive there. It's a large space so I wouldn't worry too much. Just make sure you book your pass there in the cruise planner.

Why cruise gods? Why? Is it because I started this blog a week early? I am seriously starting to freak out over here. This cannot be happening for a second year in a row!
It looks like they are talking about 1cm an hour. Hopefully the airport can keep up with that snow removal.

Tell The Boss that if she invests in Beis luggage, it will never be overweight. Their rollers contain a weight limit indicator
Usually she ends up putting things in my suitcase since I can usually fit a weeks worth of things in a carryon. I will check them out though. After her bag got smoooooshed on this last trip she's looking at a hard shell case.

Toiletries is another mountain that I will have to tackle another day. For those out there who are product junkies like me, you know what sort of challenge that is
I have to deal with this all the time with Heather. She is a chronic overpacked to start with, then we add in all of the products. It's always a gamble on the will we be overweight with our bags or not.

@Lovetocruise2002, we got beat up by a storm too. This is what I woke up to....I think this means you need to sneak me into your suitcase.
On an unrelated note, I have corrupted another one to the Suite life. While at the firehouse today I convinced one of my coworkers, and he booked a GS on Harmony the same week we are going next year......next step...Star Class!!!!

I could look this up, but what deck is the 4BR Villa on? And you are kind to take one for the team in the inside room.
Deck 12

Time to clear my schedule, for another can't miss blog!!
I think you can make the argument to Hubby that he really isn't sailing in an inside cabin here.....One of these years you should send him solo to deck 3 or something. Lets see how quickly he comes back to deck 17
It's crazy how fast our time with the freeloaders goes by. I've been thinking about that myself too. I foresee many fond memories made on this one, and I am so excited for you! I can't think of a better way to thank your parents as well, especially since they enjoy cruising as much as you say.
I pray all your flights go according to plan for this one too. At least the weather doesn't look too bad for that day...yet...

Thanks Greg, that's super helpful! And I've gotten conflicting info on whether we can bring in snacks and drinks. Do you happen to know? Do they search bags or anything?
I don't remember them ever searching bags, but it's been a bit since Ive been there. A friend of mine was there last week. I'll ask him how it went and report back sometime tomorrow.
