I'm still on the balcony, and i tried the "hot tub" today. 

It was freezing! I'm pretty sure that pellets of ice have clogged the jets.

Actually, this worked out for me well. I have complications related to hip dysplasia and sciatica.  My holistic doc recommends ice during flare ups. No better way to ice than to sit in a freezing tub of water and watch the ocean go by.

What i should have done was film Batman's face when he got in to join me. He expected warm water but failed to test the water before going in. I about cried laughing. I'm sorry i did. He'll never throw caution to the wind again.

And if you guessed that Batman removed the lettuce and tomato and added some bacon to his chicken sandwich, you should buy yourself a lottery ticket. 

We asked for a chicken sandwich from Playmakers. Keyword "a" meaning we'll share. I'll let you guess how that worked out. 

The Chicken sandwich was AMAZING. 

The rest is my "breakfast salad," if you will. Bloody Mary, shrimp, bacon, olives.  Both Bloody Marys promptly went into my Yeti.

Also if you recall this was $599 a few days before the cruise. I thought it was a crazy bargain but apparently no one jumped at it at that price. We'd have done this if we had our niece and nephews with us, but that's an ENTIRELY different blog.  Then again, i do sign all my 15 year old nephew's birthday cards "i will always have bail money."

Ok helpful post of the day before this party gets restarted .... 

Batman was playing with our shades today. One of them is wonky and rolls down like a hot wrinkled mess.  One of them doesn't work at all. 

Note that you have 0 privacy in your BR and bath without these shades down.  I feel like i should've known that from other helpful bloggers. But i dodged a bullet changing into my swim top there. 

I'll report it to Leticia or Sherman shortly.

He'll demand prior review and approval before i hit send on any post. Not to mention he'll be mortified i shared his 2:30am love note as well as his (lack of) under goodie situation.

For one, every time he catches me typing and asks what I'm doing, i tell him I'm playing Wordle. He actually believes that. Let's not spoil that. 

For two, any time he tries to google something that will land him here, i google more quickly (or i already know the answer and pretend I've found it elsewhere. And i make it sound like I'm reading something back) 

I lived in fear for ages when i told the world about his pedicure story last blog. I got away with it then.  Clearly, my criminal efforts are becoming more bold and brazen ...

And since Batman has NO idea I've told the entire RC Blog community his current predicament, he will have no idea that you know.  

I'm providing this disclaimer entirely too late. However, this blog will contain PUI (Posting under the influence). The later it is, the more inevitable it becomes. We'll just have to go with it, hope for the best, and sort out whatever doesn't make sense later ...

So i suppose we'll start with last night's clarifications, in no particular order. 

(BTW: Batman is still sleeping. I'm in the living room.  If this ends abruptly, you'll know why as I'm hearing a stir....)

Your luggage no longer stays with you. That was fine. We air tagged them and received all our luggage, in tact, in a reasonable amount of time. 

We are, however, still looking for Batman's under goodies. There's still a chance, albeit a small one, we'll still find them. You all remember the pic of the suitcase in the garbage bag? Like i said, i made fun of it. So Batman repacked that suitcase, waterproofing from the inside with a painter's tarp. We think that's when he forgot to transfer them back into the suitcase: when the waterproofing efforts changed. So of course if Batman has to go commando or live in swim trunks, it's my fault.

There was no 85$ glass of wine last night. I ordered a glass of Chianti without looking at a menu, so i had no idea what it cost. They don't even have Chianti at Chops. They had to go to Gio's to get it. So when our waiter Richard said he was going to get us the bill to sign, i told Batman the glass of Chianti cost $85 and we were paying the overage (whatever 85-14×1.18 is, it's too early to math). Only problem was that Richard didn't bring us the bill. He brought us the dessert menu with a pen, which he promptly dropped off at the table and left. Hence our joke about if he wanted us to autograph the menu. When we eventually did get the bill, it was $0.

Now let's talk Sugar Beach ... i somehow was looking forward to candies of my childhood but I'd have settled for jawbreakers. Batman wanted candied peanuts. Did they have any? No, but guess which 2 idiots bought 19.86$ worth of the quintessential old person's candy, Jordan Almonds? 

We're at the Globe & Atlas now where we've undoubtedly found our place. Batman's now in the men's room. 

There is amazing singer here. I'm going to ask him if he already knows or can learn my favorite Van Morrison song by the end of the week.  If you guessed Brown Eyed Girl, please hang your head in shame. Clearly that's his worst. 

Also, I'm not sure we're loving our cabin steward. He's efficient and practical. Not feeling the love like we did with Jesus on Anthem though. No towel animals for us old fogeys. Disappointing since i bought him glow in the dark eyes.

Aftermath of rack of lamb. I restrained myself from picking up the racks, ripping them apart, and eating them like the dog i am. 

Our Chops server asked us to sign.  I told Batman this was because i ordered an 85$ glass of chianti to go with my lamb and we had to pay for the overage. To his credit, he shrugged his shoulders and said ... when in Chops. Instead of giving us our bill, our waiter gave us the dessert menu. I asked if he wanted us to sign the menu like the famous people we are. 

Batman just asked what's taking so long in the ladies room. Back later. 

I almost said tonight was Cagney's lol. It's easy to get cruise lines confused when you're not loyal. Here are the ones i can post from Chops. One was censored because Batman vetoes food porn.

The first one is the tuna tartare. I'd skip it next time.

We have both bags. I've given up and am having that dirty martini in the lounge ...  will he find them? Unless there are underpants gnomes on the ship, i agree with your dire situation assessment!

I took those from our balcony.  The weather is miserable and we're freezing so just taking it very slow this the first day. Leticia just showed us how to turn the heat up (Spoiler, it's not on the blue screens where we thought it was), and we're waiting for room to come up to temp. 

For any fellow Bloody Mary afficionados, it's Mrs T's in the CL. Disappointing because it's the most bland mix ever. There is just no saving that. 

We're rallying ATM. I've been nursing one glass of white wine since the Bloody Mary. I think it's time to give up on that and try a filthy martini. 

Batman is disappointed the WOW bands are purple..... He thinks they should be black. I have no words ...

And I'm nearly giddy to report the number may actually be 0. We either have a casualty of being lost in the garbage bag/painter's tarp waterproofing fiasco or we just haven't found them yet. Depending how this plays out, i can assure you that he will not hear the end of it. 

Tonight is Chops at 7, and I'm trying to decide between between the spicy Jumbo shrimp and the rack of lamb.  Since our lunch plans were a little waylaid, we never did wind up eating, unless you're counting the olives with my Bloody Mary.  I think I'll enjoy being hungry now because I'm usually waddling by Day 3 ...

First casualty and I'm only one drink in so i know it wasn't me ... Shower door handle is busted. Batman thinks i did it and is trying to fix it himself.....

Also we've got one checked bag so far and it's not wet at all. 

And oh, we're convinced the OP exists to make you feel bad about your every day house and is designed to make you never want to leave! Pics to follow, before we start leaving our very large foot prints....

Leticia says our cruise at near full capacity. She's already priority passed us 3x in the elevator.
