  1. The safe in your room probably isn't quite large enough for a laptop, however!
  2. I live in Maine, so travel logistics aside, I would. I'm in a lucky position that I'm still relatively young enough and healthy enough that even if a worse-case scenario played out for me, I feel confident that it wouldn't be life or death for me. Provided I was able to get the appropriate care after and quarantine before traveling home so there were no further repercussions, I'd be willing to take the chance. I'd like to think I could somehow be a part of a solution and a path forward, and I'd rather take that chance than sit around and wait. I know that glosses over a whole lot of what-ifs, but long story, short, I would.
  3. We also tried to apply two as well, and had the same issue, where one was declined and so far only $100 OBC has been applied to our account. We were told one per booking regardless, also.
  4. We were originally schedule to be on Oasis on 1/23/21...103 days from today if anyone's (translation: I was ?) counting but we had to Lift & Shift and the best option for us was a repeat on Harmony in 1/22. Oasis is definitely on the bucket list, though, so please, share plenty of pics once you've been on so I can actually enjoy the envy!
  5. To add to my memories, I had "forgotten" about this one, but it's a fun reflection now. This was two cruises ago in 2019 on Anthem, when I tried my hand at the Belly Flop Contest. Needless to say, I didn't get my legs up and my less-than-stellar form hurt my score. Turns out it didn't hurt my belly any less, but the notoriety on the ship for the rest of the week, and my kids' hilariously watching the replays on the TV all week, more than made it worth it. My score was only a 2, but Dennis said I reminded him of the light inside of his refrigerator for that nice and bright complexion of mine. I did take that moment to let him know it looked like we wearing the same shirt, though. ? All in all, I'll take it. Haven't laughed like that and enjoyed something so foolish in a long time. Can't wait to watch someone else the next time!
  6. We obviously can't be certain what will happen post-COVID and what that means for check-in, but we were on HOTS in Port Canaveral in January of this year, DID NOT have the Key, and we were on the ship before 11 am. We got to the terminal just after 10 am(ish). We are "lowly" ? Gold C&A members, with nothing special one way or the other, and we were held up maybe 5 minutes for a few of the higher-up classes and some Suite guests to be lead on, and then we were sent right on, right along with some Key holders. I'd say for boarding purposes alone, the Key wouldn't provide that much benefit. Some of that would have to do with the time you arrive at the terminal too, because even if you had the Key, and say, showed up at 1 pm, and here I am Gold only, but showed up at 10 am, that obviously would impact it too. Maybe that changes post-COVID to give some extra Allure (pun intended) to the Key, but pre-COVID I'd say boarding was of no extra benefit, in my opinion.
  7. For us, me especially, the last one we did was Harmony in late January and coming down from Maine, we appreciated the warmth and humidity! That first time stepping onto the ship, hearing the loud music, feeling the warmth on your face, knowing you don't have to shovel for 7 days, and then look for a bartender...it's a wonderful feeling! ? And on that particular sailing our daughter's birthday was our day in St. Maarten, so swimming and enjoying the ocean and beach with her, in that setting, was something I'll never forget. Too many memories to pick a best! Can't wait to make many more!
  8. We were supposed to be on Oasis this upcoming January, but we have two littles (6 and 5) and decided with the uncertainty to L&S out to January 2022, but we shifted to Harmony as it has an itinerary sailing 1/23/22 that goes to BOTH Labadee and CocoCay, and the day we're at CocoCay will be our daughter's birthday! As an aside, I would welcome any and all advice for Falmouth, Jamaica, with the two littles. Thanks!
  9. A curious question; I wonder how far off from the new recommended protocols (excluding masks and the "super" Covid-19 specific) that they will have to adhere to, were their cleaning methods that have been in place? It always appeared to me they did an above and beyond job as it was, so I wonder if there was a way they could petition for their current methods to meet the protocols? I wonder if that would help alleviate some implementation, and maybe make it a little more "normal" as we knew it (and back to it quicker?!), so it just makes me wonder where they will have appeared to be deficient, if at all, by these new cleaning guidelines, and how much will be above and beyond that they will need to add in? And how much will these above and beyond measures make any real difference to what they had been doing all along? If that makes sense...
  10. Thanks for the info! Back to the drawing board on my great drink package plan! ?
  11. Can you stack the rewards of OBC? Say you get enough gold coins to purchase 3 or 4 of the $100 OBC...could you theoretically have $400 OBC on your sailing? I just started this game literally yesterday after seeing this post, figuring why not if it's free? Thanks!
  12. Knock, Knock Who's there? On a street of 25 houses, you're the only one without a doorbell!
  13. We did the Guac class on Harmony on the 1/26/20 sailing just a few weeks ago. We booked three of us, including our son, who LOVES guacamole. We were a bit disappointed to find out that the class isn't participation at all, it's basically a demonstration. No one from the class will actually make guac, you'll watch the waiter at your table make it, and then they give you the recipe to take home after. You do get all the guac, a great meal and a margarita out of it, so for the fee it's still worth it in that sense. Had I paid more attention to the description I probably would have known this going in to it, so I don't blame Royal at all, we had just hoped it was something different and didn't realize it.
  14. Congratulations on the Vow Renewal, my family will be on this cruise as well, hope to see you guys around and celebrate! ?
  15. Harmony 1/26/20! I'll be behind the...
  16. Wanted! We saw them on Anthem in February and really liked them as well! The lead singer was super nice and spent some time chatting with us and let the kids take pictures with his hollow guitar and gave them all sorts of cool stuff from the band. We also saw Tommy Green Jr in the pub on our sailing, and he had a fiddler with him. They actually played a longer set in the Main Theater one night, and they were amazing. We watched him several nights in the pub because he was that good in our opinion!
  17. Were there age limits to the club area? I saw no restrictions, but we're traveling with a 6 and 5 year old, and we'd like to try the area, but I want to be respectful if it's more of an adult-only area. What are everyone's thoughts on that? Thanks!
  18. Oh, I have read a ton of these posts and somehow missed that fact about canceling once onboard and getting it as OBC. Thanks! That will play into it very well, figuring I can now get a better deal onboard at the $70 with BOGO 50%, but that also assumes it stays at that rate until the end of January. ? Thank you so much!
  19. Kind of off-topic for the original intent of this post (and thank you to everyone for their answers!) but I just noticed on the 9/15/19 sailing of Harmony Eastern Caribbean Cruise Compass that is posted on this site, on Day 1 they offered a buy one deluxe drink package for $70 and get 50% off the other. This means that you would pay $105/per day, or $52.50 per person, per day. The cruise planner for months, and months, has never dropped below $61, usually hovering at $65, and claiming that's 20% off the onboard price. Can anyone confirm if this the buy one for $70 and get the second for $35 is still going on? And if so, how can RCCL claim that $65 is 20% off the onboard pricing? That makes no sense to me. At that rate, I'd be WAY better off waiting and buying it day 1 on the ship, and getting two packages for $867.30 with 18% added, than to pay $65 each and spend $1,073.80. That's crazy. And seemingly very deceptive! Am I missing something???
  20. Be sure to note the location you want the beach bed in as well! I just noticed today that a full day beach bed rental we booked a month or so ago wasn't specific in the title; just today I saw they advertised South Beach Beds available, and that's what we thought we had, because that's what we had last year. Apparently ours is booked for a Chill Island beach bed, they have them in multiple locations now. Maybe everyone knew that, but today when I saw that, it was new to me. I had just always assumed South Beach for these, and South Beach only.
  21. Thanks in advance! We are on the 1/26/20 sailing of Harmony out of Port Canaveral and will be flying into MCO the day before. We have a tentative booking at a hotel in the Cocoa Beach area, for that night. We will be staying in Orlando when we return on 2/2 and flying out Monday 2/3. That hotel will be near/at the Airport, we just haven't booked yet. What are our best options (meaning best AND least expensive of course!) for transportation to cover the necessary trips from MCO to hotel to port, port to MCO? Thank you!
  22. Thank you all for the information and help! We have the note and are definitely able to send it to them so hopefully we'll get a good rep. Thanks!
