  1. You can do your on line check in and secure your boarding time without having to upload any documents. You can then go back at a later time if you wish and upload vaccination proof and photo.
  2. Currently what is the latest date of RCC cruises that have the 30 day final payment schedule?
  3. We have mainly sailed RCG. We did sail NCL once in 2008 when the freestyle sailing was brand new and unique to NCL. We enjoyed it but preferred Royal and at the time, so did our teenagers. Since then we have only sailed RCG. We are Diamond and just booked 2 cruises with Celebrity also. We felt comfortable with the many comments of the people on this blog who have had wonderful sailings on Celebrity also. We also continue to sail RCG as well.
  4. Well we did it again, booked a second Celebrity cruise since 2024 itineraries are already out. Panama Canal plus Southern Caribbean, 11 nights, Jan 29,2024 on Celebrity Beyond in a Sky Suite. Definitely a YOLO booking but couldn’t be more excited!
  5. Unlimited Dining Plan newbie. For our next cruise we have purchased the unlimited dining plan. If I understand correctly we cannot make reservations in advance for the restaurants but instead must wait until boarding. What is the best way to do this? I assume all reservations can be made through the app. We are traveling with 2 others and although in separate rooms our reservations are linked. I've not reserved dining before with linked reservations. Any tips are greatly appreciated. We want to make sure we get the most out of the plan!!!
  6. Is there a Star Class equivalent on Celebrity Ships and if so is it only available on certain ships like Royal??
  7. I thought that could be the case. The excitement begins...
  8. Ooohhhh nice find. I tried doing a mock booking but it wouldn't me get past clicking on the cruise. Got the "Oopps something went wrong" message. Looks promising.
  9. Royal Loyalist but we have booked our first Celebrity Cruise on Eclipse, August 27, 2023. I’m so excited to have found a celebrity board within this blog. I have loved all the contributors here and gathered so much information as we have cruised in the last few years. We will be RC Diamond when we sail and looking forward to receiving the loyalty equivalent and from what I can tell Celebrity’s loyalty offerings on the cruise are a bit better! We will be staying in the retreat and since our first time in Celebrity I have a number of questions. Is there specialty dining packages on Celebrity? Are they similar to RC: Italian, steak house, pub type etc. ? How is Luminae? We’ve always enjoyed CK on Royal. Any suggestions for things we should do on ship we might miss being newbies, like favorite bars or lounges. We enjoy sitting and talking over cocktails. Thanks to all in advance.
  10. Thank you @JC Pats I totally missed that!
  11. I was going by the link posted in a response above mine. Realizing now that link is an outdated or old schedule.
  12. I’ve been checking pretty regularly for the Nov 2023 through April 2024 7 day Caribbean itineraries to be released. The schedule says open for sale but no luck thus far. I’ll continue with regular checks but hopeful they will be released with long Caribbean on February 28! Here’s to hoping!!!
  13. We are patiently waiting for them to be released also. We went ahead and booked an Late summer 2023 Alaska cruise on Celebrity with a refundable deposit while we wait for the RC New England Itineraries to be released. If we see something we love we will switch. We have sailed Alaska before but never New England. So glad to hear Feb 21 is the expected release date. Any word on when Caribbean Nov 2023 through April 2024 will be released?
  14. No the main BR is a king bed but the second BR does sleep 4 in four separate beds.
  15. When we cruised out of Miami on Oasis January 9 we had an 11:30 check in time. Everyone was bumped back 2 hours, per an email sent out a few days in advance, for extra sanitation of ship but that’s not ordinary.
  16. @Bob Burd if you do as @twangstersuggested and stay in Vancouver overnight you could board Radiance the next day Northbound and end in Seward and fly home out of Anchorage. It’s a similar itinerary with Hubbard glacier as a bonus. I just realized you were talking about 2023 and not 2022.
  17. @LuiG51 try messaging them through the Royal Caribbean twitter account attaching this photo. I find they get answered questions that the customer service people aren’t giving the correct answers to. Good luck and yes I believe the original email is clear that you receive compensation of both FCC and full refund.
  18. I’d suggest asking this question as a message through the Royal Caribbean Twitter acct. I have really good luck with them finding out the answers to certain questions.
  19. Just recently in Mid January, the FDA approved for Abbott an additional extension of Covid tests expiration dates. There is a link in the article to the FDA letter supplied to Abbott. From the reading of the letter Abbott received from the FDA, it appears it would extend any test that has an expiration of less than 15 months, to 15 months from the date the test was created. If you go to emed's website there is a link to email them. That may be worth the effort to do so. https://thepointsguy.com/news/fda-extends-expiration-abbott-at-home-covid-test/ https://www.fda.gov/media/155326/download
  20. It works like many other messaging features on social media; such as Facebook and Instagram instant messaging features. In older days the disadvantage is that unlike text, you are not notified of the message when received but must continually check messages to see if you’ve received any. I’m not sure if that is still the case.
  21. In the old days you could choose to not guarantee their cards with credit card and only guarantee with a cash deposit for the whole trip. Once that cash runs out their card will not work for purchases until you go to guest services and deposit more cash on their sea pass card. We have done this in the past with both our children and friends of theirs traveling with us.
  22. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle. Nice hotel and great location near many of the downtown attractions.
  23. Do you know the loyalty level equivalent of Royal Carribean Diamond on Celebrity. While I understand our points don’t transfer from one line to another, our loyalty level does.
  24. We are Diamond on Royal Caribbean and will be Sailing on Celebrity our first time. Although our by points don’t transfer from one line to another, we understand our loyalty level remains the same on each brand. What is the equivalent of Diamond on Celebrity?
  25. I did my part and booked another cruise yesterday! Three in my wheelhouse now!! So happy to have some planning to do!
