That is correct if he is the only one that is going to drink alcohol. If they both want to partake then you have to really look at the math.

We have day passes to the beach club the first week of Feb. As far as I know, the beach club is not yet open. Hopefully later this month.

DublinFC reacted to WAAAYTOOO in entrees at specialty dining
This is a very controversial question at the moment.  Traditionally, the answer has been "no"...that you could have as many appetizers, side dishes and desserts that you want, but only 1 entree.  Then, Royal came along with the Unlimited Dining Package and touted it as "eat as much as and as often as you want".  The ships quickly pushed back on that, however, and have made the rules for the UDP very confusing and ship/venue-specific.  I think the answer to your question is still "no" but I don't think anyone truly knows the FINAL and true answer to that question.

I'm not so sure about this.
Maybe the difference is in the word "seized"?

Our last trip was from Australia to the UK, then to Singapore and a cruise to Hong Kong, finally flying home to Australia.

In the UK, I got a great deal on two bottles of single malt scotch that were half the price I would pay in Australia. I took them to Singapore as they were within the duty free that was permitted. When we boarded Voyager, I had them in a separate shopping bag that went through the xray machine. Security immediately pounced on the bottles and myself. My response was that I knew they were not allowed, hence having them in a separate bag and being very obvious about it. They then took me to the desk where I surrendered the bottles and received a receipt for them, and was told I could collect them at the end of the cruise.
On the last night, when we returned to our cabin, the two bottles were sitting on the bed in the same bag.

Based on that experience, if you want to take alcohol onboard that you know is not allowed, as long as you surrender it on embarkation, there won't be an issue.
Basically, it comes down to "Do the right thing and there won't be a problem". Try to smuggle it aboard or be sneaky, and you may well lose your booze...

Harmony 11/21/21 The RC Blog Group Cruise!
After booking Allure for 12/12/21 and reading all about the various NYE sailings my wife and I canceled Allure to find a NYE sailing that would work for our typical Christmas plans.  The sailings we wanted to book were either right before or right after Christmas and we decided not to book one since our daughter is still young.  We host Christmas every year and she loves having all the family over.  That is when I remembered the Group Cruise and thanks to Heather over at MEI we are now booked to join the Harmony sailing.  A HUGE shout out to Heather for helping us with our sailing and dealing with my all of my, what Im sure felt like, billions of questions.  Super excited to join the Group Cruise I have really enjoyed following along on the blog during the past few Group Cruises.

I don't care about the bottled water.  If the new carton works, great.  I was skeptical about these paper straws and I was right.  Recently stayed at a Universal Studios resort over Thanksgiving.  Everywhere we went had paper straws.  The paper straws became soggy and off putting immediately.   I started asking for no straw in my drinks and the bartenders were giving me weird looks. Not too sure why.  I will be bringing my own straws with me on our sailings to avoid using the paper ones.

I know what you are thinking.  January 2022?  Did I read that right?
In order to secure a great price on one of only two Star Class Ultimate Panoramic Suites on Oasis I booked this a couple of months ago when the itineraries where first released.  Within minutes of them going public I secured the 2nd of these two suites in the name of research and, well it seemed like a good excuse to book a cruise.
That's nice and all but why start a blog now?
I am so tired of @Matt beating up on my fellow Canadian @Lovetocruise2002 even though we all knew he has the record for starting a cruise blog the longest before any sailing in the history of these boards that I had to step in and take action.   So back off Matt!
Seven hundred and twenty nine days.
Itinerary as it stands today includes Puerto Plata, DR, St Thomas USVI and San Juan Puerto Rico.
This may be my only 2020 update.  I'll do my best to update this blog at least once in 2021.
Until then, let it be known I hold the record for the longest pre-cruise early blogging award!

I hope the drinks are better.  I like wings just as the next person, but I dont see the point of having them for a fee when there is so much food included during the stay on the island.

My wife and I are considering a central park balcony to help reduce cost for a NYE sailing in the next couple of years.  We want to have the fresh air coming in, but we can bring ourselves to pay for the ocean view prices.  I will say that we did not look right when the sailings were released.  I am hoping to find a better price when they first open up and can allow myself to book the ocean view balcony.
We both do not want to have a room on the boardwalk as we feel it would be nosier.  The chance to see the aqua show is a great bonus to those who do book the boardwalk rooms.

valid point.  I am not going to waste my time with Cats on our sailing.  What is on Symphony? I forget

You can ask for your dessert to go if needed.  Save it for after the show to eat on your balcony or other nice place on the ship.

If price is truly the same for both, I would lean towards the one out of Port Everglades because for me it's much easier to deal with..flights are cheaper for me to FLL and hotels are cheaper and super near the port.  Plus Terminal A in Miami made me mad the last time we disembarked because the traffic was ridiculous.

That is a good consideration.  When it comes to shows I give the slight edge to Symphony.  Theater shows (Hairspray and Flight) were better than the ones on Oasis.  The ice show on Symphony it a little better because DRONES!  But the Aqua80 aquatheater show on Oasis is much better than Hiro was IMO.

I love BBQ! LOL Will this be the deciding factor?? Stay tuned LOL
I was thinking the same thing.. who wants to deal with Miami! I live in Brevard County, so flights arent an issue, I will be driving. I wish they had an itinerary out of Port Canaveral that I wanted.. That would be ideal. Im like 5 minutes from Port Canaveral ?

Symphony also has a uniquely larger solarium than the rest of the oasis class and is the newer ship overall (I realize oasis was just reamped but still nearly 10 years older and they can't do everything in the dry dock) so full rooms, artwork, public spaces, tech, everything will be just a bit fresher and cleaner, plus symphony leaves from terminal A in miami (where I would rather stay, more to see and do that FLL).
I'm just another guy offering his two cents, but all things truly being equal I would go with symphony out of miami, in fact I would pay 10% more to go that route.

Be prepared for a steep charge on the shot.  I did this thinking a shot would be a lot less expensive than a cocktail, but with gratuity it was still about $14.
