    Yes, I did it solo.

The slide on Liberty does not allow solo.  Navigator does, or did when I sailed her soon after the amplification.

Thats great news! I didn't think you could but I saw a video on IG last night of a solo rider. I thought maybe it was a special circumstance for a 'promotional' video. We are on Navigator next month but my wife isn't too interested in riding it so hoping I can go solo.

I would just sleep there if you want one, all taken by 6:00am on our July mariner sailing. If you want a seat in the solarium get there by 7am, and don't expect to put stuff out and leave. The pool enforcer removes peoples belongings after 30 minutes until about 10am, then apparently its ok to leave your stuff all day. Not sure what's so special about 10am?

Thats great that the 30 minute limit for leaving belongings is being enforced!

This thread has been very helpful. Excited for that (hopefully) upcoming announcement. I think if RC doesn't allow unvaccinated after said announcement, I may take a Princess cruise, since they and Virgin seem to be the only ones welcoming the unvaccinated. But hopefully RC drops everything and I can get back to the good stuff! In the meantime I have a Universal trip planned as well! Land vacations until then!

I honestly don't believe that the reason or wording anyone uses on there exemption request means didly squat. They accept them until they reach 10% and then cut them off. I highly doubt there is someone at Royal's offices sifting through exemption requests saying that religious exemption request A is not as fundamentally founded as religious exemption request B. Or that this medical request exemption is more scientific than that medical exemption........

’Id gladly pay a premium for lower capacity sailings.

There are cruise lines that cater to this. I spoke to someone who recently went this route. It completely changed her perception of these lines. She was expecting (and this was my perception as well) a 'hoity toity' crowd but found a very down to earth crowd of relaxed cruisers enjoying less crowds and a more attentive sevice.

We are going to get off first cruise in Miami and then found a second one leaving that day n Fort Lauderdale so will still do back to back just different cities.  With that change we don’t even get the $50…. Oh well I guess

Why do you not get the OBC? Because you didn't take one of their offered alternatives?

Thanks for the reply!  The 100 would be a bit better haha.  The issue with moving to other side of the back to back is work schedule.  My wife needs to book time off way out.

I have that same issue. My work is very flexible but my wife needs much more notice. Kind of annoying

  7. I recently had a Navigator cruise chartered and was offered $100 OBC.

If you had a B2B booked can you not move to either the week after or week before (depending which half of the B2B was chartered) to still have a B2B? They will usually price gaurantee to match your cancelled cruise.

Not what i wanted to hear...its a logistical nightmare between flying, cruising, testing etc to try and make a vacation work. After 3 years of not cruising, I was really hoping to make it work in 2022, but its looking less and less likely at this point. At least with Royal.

May have to start looking at other cruise lines that don't require it unfortunately if this remains much longer in place.

You will have to fly to Europe then as all cruise lines sailing from US and Canadian ports still require testing. This announcement has no impact right now on cruises sailing in North America except the hope that as usual, what happens in Europe happens in North America several months later.

ChessE4...that is great advice I think...we sailed in the Anthem and LOVED it...thought bigger was better and discovered that might not be the truth. It is just a struggle...we thought cruising was a great value after our first cruise (food was always good, staff was always amazing), but after our second (maybe we just expected too much), we just are not sure. We are not made of money and do not have weeks upon weeks of time off so we really value our vacations...this experience was just rough in the end because so many thing did not happen that we expected would be included. In time we might give it another shot but this experience is still a little raw...

As you titled the thread, I feel people who are expecting the full, uninterupted cruise experience should wait to cruise. I have been on 5 cruises since the 'restart' and all have had shows cancelled, activitys cancelled or limited, dining limited etc......

As a cruise lover I still felt it was worth going on the cruises even though I really missed out on entertainment. However, I can fully understand why people may not want to cruise right now with a 'limited' experience.

This makes me nervous. My 1st name on crown and anchor is Mary, instead of Mary Ann (their system apparently didn't like spaces in 1st names), my employer combined my name to Maryann so that's what's on my vax card. No issue with last name and date of birth matches, but worried they'll reject based on the combined name on the vax card. Fingers crossed.

Keep in mind that even if it gets rejected on the app doesn’t mean you can’t sail. Just show up with all your ID and it will be straightened out at the terminal
