  1. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2019/03/26/royal-caribbeans-the-key-worth-it https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/12/07/what-is-the-key Here's a couple of vids. IMO, if the price of the Key is within a dollar or two of the price of internet, it is worth it. Provided you were planning on getting internet.
  2. Welcome to the boards! We had this "problem" recently too. We handled it by making sure to use the Seapass card of someone with credit to burn when paying for things. Additionally, we were able to get spa transactions moved from one account to another after the fact at the spa front desk. You are correct in thinking you can charge specialty dining to a single account if you wish. Finally, if you search the forums for casino hints you can see how people use OBC for gambling or even cash it out. Hope that helps!
  3. Yes, sadly the online update option is gone. You have to call. Once you get through, it only takes a moment, if you've already decided what you want.
  4. Yes, you can absolutely use your vouchers for others! Our last cruise back in March we were with new cruisers, and the first two rounds of the day were always on us Those vouchers are a great upgrade to the loyalty program, as far as I'm concerned.
  5. No. Currently the Key guests can eat in the MDR on embarkation day, but no one else.
  6. MisterZ likes the way you think! He'd call this dinner too!
  7. This is why I will be testing at the airport, from the airport test vendor, when I return from Amsterdam in June. As long as your departure is from one of the larger international airports, testing is easy and quick. The airport website will have information on what testing is available onsite. You can make an appointment and pay in advance. Also, your insurance may cover the whole test cost (claim submitted after the fact) rather than just the $12 — rules are usually different for medical claims outside of the US.
  8. Yes you will get results emailed to you. You can also access/display them in the Navica app. Personally I’m #TeamPrintItOut though
  9. I think this one is unrestricted so that one person can buy several if they know they will use them.
  10. We did this for our last cruise. I believe it took 4-5 days for it to show up in the cruise planner. But you should definitely be able to see it, so if it has been longer than that you should call them back!
  11. Welcome to the boards! Rooms for 4 is definitely a struggle in Rome. We found some "quads" in a few hostel-style places -- rooms with 4 twin beds -- so that might be an option. Otherwise we just booked two rooms and asked for them to be next to each other. Hope that helps!
  12. Things have been much more “last minute” recently, as Royal gets the last ships up and running and validates relationships with old and new tour vendors. I’m 53 days out from my next cruise and just finally got tours in the last port I was waiting for. Just keep checking!
  13. Welcome to the boards! Where are you traveling from or sailing from?
  14. I heard a rumor that you can only do the iHealth proctoring on a computer/laptop, not on a phone. Not sure if that's true, but it might be a problem if you're not traveling with a laptop.
  15. Several options at Vancouver airport. Definitely your simplest option. https://www.yvr.ca/en/passengers/travel-planning/takecare/covid-19-testing
  16. The straw market was open at the end of March when I was there. If you turn right after you exit the port you can't miss it. Welcome to the boards!
  17. Welcome to the boards! Start here for drink package info: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/royal-caribbean-beverage-package-costs-info-tips Complimentary beverages include iced tea, coffee, hot tea, lemonade, apple juice, orange juice, and tap water.
  18. Snorkel gear is not included. There are two mats in the cabana, but you can get more (free) if you need them.
  19. Then definitely look in Georgetown. Quick bus (don't discount the buses, they're great there!) or metro to the Mall, but interesting stuff, particularly food, in its own right.
  20. Ha! I've been researching a ton about DC this month, in preparation for our upcoming move in August Are you interested in hitting all the Must Dos and not having to taxi/uber anywhere? It might be worth it to just stay right downtown. More expensive, but you'll save travel money and time. There's a Hyatt Place that's a bit less expensive than some. Georgetown is my favorite neighborhood, personally, and close to the National Mall, etc. If you're looking into AirBnBs this would be the neighborhood for sure. Chinatown is another convenient spot, and it has a lot going on all on its own. Foggy Bottom and Dupont Circle neighborhoods are overrated, IMHO.
  21. We started doing half and half -- send the larger bag out the night before and keep the smaller one with us.
