  1. Our return flight departs at 10:55am and is offered by Air-2-Sea.. (we normally use that as a guide). We normally walk off with our bags to fast track the departure. Arrange your transportation in advance; the airport is not too far away. Assuming all on schedule - you'll be at the airport by 8 - 8:30am.
  2. We have used the Civitavecchia Cab Service 2 different times to and from the airport. U may make arrangements and pay the driver direct as opposed to full payment with credit card in advance. On our first occasion, our incoming flight arrived 2 hours late and we were quite concerned but the driver was tracking our flight and was waiting for us inside the terminal with a name card. On that occasion, we flew in the day of the cruise and not in advance. We used them as recently as June of this year and we would definitely use them again traveling in and out of Rome (Civitavecchia).
  3. It's Easier Than You May Think !! Your ship docks adjacent to the ferry which goes to Capri. No need to book in advance - we walked off the ship and purchased tickets for the ferry. We did the trip the last time we were in Naples ---
  4. We too shall be on that sailing. We are arriving a day early and are staying at the Movenpick which is attached to the cruise terminal and is a walking distance to central Amsterdam and many restaurants. The city is relatively small and easy to get around. We stayed at the Movenpick on a prior sailing and were most pleased if it fits your style and schedule.
  5. Do you recommend checking in on the app or web site ? Is one easier than the other ?
  6. 3 Days / 2 Nights in Barcelona Beforehand... Only 1 tour available from Genoa -- That's going to be one big bus to carry one. Hopefully, they add additional tours.
  7. We are flying to BCN in June 2 days early and returning from FCO using Delta and American. A2S works for international flights and especially for different arrival and departure ports. We have not paid for the seats (March) but are booked R/T for $2,192 for 2 based on a promotion RCL ran on $ 200 off international flights late last year. We've been able to select seats on Delta going over and move around and upgrade. I called A2S and they booked us 2 seats together(I was not able to do so until we pay) on the American flight. With a change in American's schedule, we also changed returning flights moving up our departure from FCO which they handled for us with American. We used them once before flying into FCO. We were delayed apprx. 3 hrs on the sailing day. We called A2S and informed them of such and they tracked the flight (for us and others) insuring we made the sailing in Civitavecchia. I would definitely consider them for international flights.
  8. Am I to understand that if I used a FCC to book a cruise already but not yet taken - any leftover amount from that resulting FCC will now automatically be applied as an OBC for that cruise and not be re-issued after the completion of the cruise ? If so, I'm assuming we shall eventually receive a communication informing us of such.
  9. Sailing On Brilliance June 5th from BCN ... I am doubting RCL would take down open reservations for such an extended period of time during peak a peak booking period for "cabin adjustment categories". This, coupled with the Copenhagen cruises being cancelled and others looking to re-book. I hope I am wrong but I re-booked onto this itinerary after my original Serenade cruise was cancelled when they moved the ship to Copenhagen. Unfortunately, the similarities almost mirror themselves. Either way, I wish there would be greater clarity to those currently booked so we can begin to make secondary plans as the flight windows have just opened up too many of these sail dates. In the end, RCl is doing their best in an extremely difficult and dynamic operating environment.
  10. Not to beat a dead horse but here is NCL's Covid Protocol Policy on disembarkation procedures from their website (which matches Princess)... On US based vessels, Norwegian does not require a disembarkation test. However, this does not supersede home country requirements. For Europe based vessels, an antigen disembarkation test is required and will be administered onboard and cost will be covered by Norwegian Cruise Line. There will be no PCR tests available to guests onboard unless required to confirm a positive antigen test or for symptomatic guests.
  11. Of note - RCL's European Covid Protocol Policy differs from other lines (Princes, Costa, Holland America, and even Viking River Cruises). I, for one, would gladly pay to have a proctored administered test performed on the last day of the cruise instead of worrying about catching my flight or having a faulty connection sitting in my cabin. We all know RCL, and others, are doing their best under difficult conditions that change from time to time. I feel there should be greater understanding and sensitivity toward the US guest to make it as easy as possible.
  12. Many Thanks for the replies and help ! Has anyone had to use this test on a ship using a Voom internet connection ? We will be in the UK the day before we disembark before heading back to Amsterdam ....
  13. Heading to Europe (Maybe...) in June ... Questions on the BinaxNow Covid-19Ag Proctored Test ... I have downloaded the Navica App to my smartphone. Has anyone had success is proctoring the test on your phone (vs. a tablet)? Additionally, has anyone experienced issues or problems with connectivity or other issues when attempting to test for return travel to the US? I am disappointed RCL is not assisting returning US citizens sailing from Europe with such testing similiar to other carriers (Princess, Costa, Holland America).
