  1. Ok, just had a look at the itineraries and they do have some to the Canaries, so I guess that means I could be tempted. Royal would be better for us though because the always included on Celebrity pushes the price up a lot for us as non-drinkers. I will be watching closely.
  2. Loads of machines and free weights. For cardio, as well as the treadmills and ellipticals, there are stationary and recumbent bikes, stair climbers and potentially a couple of rowing machines. One floor down from the fitness centre, you also have the dedicated walking/running track, one of my favourite things on this class of ship, as you don't have to do a million laps to the mile or dodge errant sun loungers. I can't help with information on classes, I'm afraid, as I don't usually participate in those. Some are free and some have a charge and you should be able to see them in the app. If the details are still sparse for your own sailing, check the current sailing as that will give you a good idea of what to expect. Otherwise, you should be able to pick up a schedule on boarding day.
  3. Allure showed up on Royal's website yesterday as sailing out of Port Canaveral in January 2024. I presume this was part of the test load for next week's releases, since it's no longer there.
  4. Yes, this is actually really, really important, as hilariously summed up in this performance by the comedy band Fascinating Aida:
  5. Winter in the Med? Hmm, not sure I would be up for that. Now if they were offering the Canaries, I could definitely be tempted.
  6. It can be complicated enough handling a booking with just one or two cabins directly. With a larger group you're setting yourself up for a world of pain. Definitely use a TA. Contact this site's sponsor MEI Travel using the form on the home page and they'll assign an agent who will take on all the hassle leaving you worry-free. Several of the agents are regular posters here. @michelle @Sharla @Beci
  7. The $6 is, but the $2 on the first couple of nights is for everyone. As D members we accumulated the two so got $8 total each.
  8. Just to add to @cruisellama's very helpful post, Europe has an extensive network of intra-European flights that are largely sold as one-ways, so it would definitely be worthwhile looking at a one-way flight from Barcelona back to your original arrival airport in Italy. That would let you book your transatlantic flight as a round-trip from the US to Italy and back.
  9. We had to get a member of staff to help us. He talked us through it step by step. I am sure we will need to get another member of staff to do the same next time. That's not too bad. DH got through his in about half of that.
  10. It is totally normal and many people experience it. I sometimes do and sometimes don't but when I do I find taking Bonine (or the CVS or Walgreens cheaper equivalent) does the trick. On occasion, for me, it has taken up to a week to subside but don't worry, it will eventually. No need to see the doctor about it.
  11. Olá Fernas! Seja bem-vinda! It's way too early to know what will happen in October. Things do look hopeful at the moment but, unfortunately, like all of the rest of us, you will have to try and patiently (or not! ) wait and see. Maybe you won't even need a test to get back to Brazil by then. Let's hope so. If you enjoyed Adventure of the Seas, which is a much smaller ship with less going on, I am sure you will have an amazing time on Symphony!
  12. We started cruising with Royal in 2001 and we hit D on Navigator in 2018, so "only" 17 years later. We got one D cruise in before Covid shut everything down and were so pleased to have got there. At that time, making D+ looked like another long "slog" but thanks to the double points promo we may actually get there in a couple of years. In the meantime we should get our first ever crystal block on Anthem in September. Living in Europe and not sailing in suites means pinnacle is a pipe dream for us unless we win the lottery but we will be happy with the D+ amenities for the foreseeable future even if we can't move any farther up the ladder.
  13. When Odyssey debuted I watched just about every ship tour I could find on the Internet, Matt's and Danny's included!
  14. Short is essentially anything under a week. Repositioning between Europe and the Caribbean is usually classed in a group of its own called "Transatlantic". Then there is another group called "Repositioning" ("Repo" for short) which is for cruises that leave from one port and end in another to get them into position at the end of one season and start of the next (e.g. San Juan to Ft. Lauderdale). The groups are usually clearly defined but the website is a bit messed up at the moment with some of the cruises in these two groups in different places. I have spotted a couple of Transatlantic ones in the Europe section. So, at the moment a bit more detective work than usual is needed to track them down.
  15. The room looks lovely. Have a great time!
  16. I'm so glad it worked out for you. That's great news. I'm so glad it worked out for you.
  17. You can e-mail [email protected] from 30 days before your sail date. As @PPPJJ-GCVAB says, requests are never guaranteed as something unforeseen could throw a spanner in the works but they will definitely do their best to accommodate you.
  18. I guess you mean the ones from the Florida ports to the Caribbean/Bahamas? I think they might be due for release next week. There are a couple on sale now but they are out of the N.E. ports which were released earlier today (Anthem out of NJ and Vision out of Baltimore).
  19. There's a nice little repo from Fort Lauderdale to Baltimore that might suit some of you from that neck of the woods, especially if you have the ABC islands on your bucket list.
