  1. Ah, yes, you're right. Not for full suites anyway. I think you can for junior suites and also the panoramic (no balcony) suites that exist on a few ships.
  2. Hi @CruisingMomMN and welcome to the boards. I have a booking on FOS at that time too (December 7th) and noticed the exact same thing. In my case, I'm not particularly worried since I booked it refundable as a place holder and almost certainly will be changing it anyway but I totally understand your concern. When I originally booked I did notice that Freedom was blocked for the month of January 2025, so when the December sailings dropped off (apart from the one over Christmas), I did wonder if they might have decided to bring forward whatever it was they were planning to do then. Given the circumstances and if your budget allows you to pay out a new lot of 5 deposits, @Ampurp85's suggestion might be well worth considering. At least that way you would lock in an alternative sailing that would suit you, rather than waiting it out and potentially getting left high and dry.
  3. This ship looks so amazing. I also recently saw a video about it by UK bloggers Ben & David. I really want to sail on Beyond sometime soon.
  4. It kind of depends. To get the absolute best out of the Space Centre, you really need to spend a whole day there so if you're going to be in port for a full day then it's definitely worth it. If you're only arriving at Port Canaveral around noon/1 pm, then you're only going to get half a day at the Space Centre. In that case, if you're coming from a long way away (and I'm guessing you are from your spelling of the word "Centre") and are unlikely to be able to make a return visit any time soon, then it's still worth it because it's such an amazing place. However, if you're planning a future visit to the area in the forseeable future, to do the theme parks for example, then you could take a day out from that to do the Space Centre justice. In that case, I'd skip the excursion with Royal.
  5. Somebody mentioned they had a couple of extra themes show up on a longer sailing they were on, Asian and American. Check the app for Vision and Enchantment. I thought the Asian one looked great. I guess I need to book a longer sailing to be able to try it!
  6. Yes, it happens occasionally. There was a spate of these last year (can't remember exactly when but it happened to me too at that time) and somebody else recently reported it happening to them. In my case, it was a few days later when the times opened up; in the recent poster's case it was more like two weeks. Literally, the only thing you can do is keep checking back.
  7. Thanks. I've never seen it offer both options when you have a package. I wonder if it is just on Wonder or if they've finally fixed the issue across the fleet. Just over a month to go and I can test it on Anthem.
  8. Can you talk us through that in teeny tiny baby steps please? I don't understand how he is able to see his free days if he has a pre-purchased package.
  9. You really don't need an excursion in Mykonos. It is a great port just to wander around the tiny little streets and soaking up the atmosphere. You can wander up to the famous windmills too. Depending on what ship you're on, you might dock at the new port, in which case it's a €2 per person each way trip on the water taxi to get into town, or you could be anchored, in which case there will be tenders to take you right into town.
  10. Thanks for letting us know. Pity about the bag but it's good you got a bargain despite the disappointment. My sailing isn't until July so they'll have them back in stock by then.
  11. I read it the same way you do. $10.99 sounds to me more like a refund of monies paid than an apology payment. If it was me, I would be telling guest services to remove the water and refund me the full cost since I booked it for the bag and not the water.
  12. I've seen similar seemingly instantaneous jumps in price on excursions. My guess is that they have a set number of places/packages available at a given lower price. As soon as the last one is sold that item is bumped up to the next price bracket.
  13. They're not as long as 14 days but there are some very good 9, 10, 11 and 12 night itineraries out of Florida that visit a lot of these ports. Grandeur out of Miami winter 2023 to spring 2024 and out of Fort Lauderdale winter 2024 to spring 2025 Explorer out Miami winter 2024 to spring 2025
  14. I loved our day in Barbados (going back a few years now - Serenade, December 2017). We went to St. John's Church and Bathsheba too. We also stopped at a place called Highland that had fabulous views. Your pics have reminded me how much I would like to go back!
  15. I saw this information posted on another board by someone who is actually booked on the world cruise. Apparently, in addition to the whole cruise and the four different segments initially announced, there are also going to be 17 shorter segments (I guess to fill up any remaining space). According to another poster on that same thread who is a travel agent, those segments were showing on cruising power, which is a portal used by travel agents' to book Royal Caribbean cruises, but had not yet been released for sale. The thread in question then degenerated into general chit-chat with nothing else of any relevance being posted since, so I don't know what the current situation is, but these are the details that person posted: "Yesterday they announced the breakdown to us Miami - Rio, Dec 10 - Jan 5 Rio - Valparaiso, Jan 5 - Jan 23 Valparaiso - Los Angeles, Jan 23 - Feb 11 Los Angeles - Brisbane, Feb 11 - March 11 Brisbane - Hong Kong, March 11 - March 27 Hong Kong - Beijing, March 27 - April 8 Beijing - Singapore, April 8 - April 24 Singapore - Dubai, April 24 - May 9 Dubai - Athens, May 9 - May 27 Athens - Istanbul, May 27 - June 7 Istanbul - Venice, June 7 - June 20 Venice - Rome, June 20 - Jul 1 Rome - Barcelona, July 1 - July 10 Barcelona - Southampton, July 10 - July 26 Southampton - Copenhagen, July 26 - August 10 Copenhagen - Amsterdam, August 10 - August 19 Amsterdam - Miami, August 19 - September 10" He then corrected the start/end ports for the first two: "Oops, first leg ends in Buenos Aires, and obviously second begins there" So that ties in with seeing Valparaiso as a port where you can embark/disembark. It doesn't totally explain the Dubai/India, since Dubai is mentioned in the poster's list but India isn't, unless they're having to rethink the Hong Kong/Beijng options. The World Cruise does make several stops in India, though, so who knows? I'm watching with interest even though my chances on actually going on any part of this cruise are wholly dependent upon my winning the lottery!
  16. I think they are embarkation/disembarkation ports for some of the segments in the World Cruise. That's not bookable on the main site, which would probably explain why they are greyed out.
  17. And especially so when the person responding is travelling herself.
  18. Thanks Jim! You are absolutely spot on. We actually live down in the south, in the Algarve, where all the great beaches are! Thanks very much for the suggestions. I love reading so I'll be sure to check out the book you mentioned as well as the restaurants!
  19. People over on cc seem to be getting refunded $50 per person (100 per package). Not sure if that's another glitch or if you've got $600 coming your way!
