Update Don't think I ever posted an update from my cruise from end of September 2023. The food we had in the MDR and Windjammer was excellent. What was supposed to be cold was, and what was supposed to be hot was as well. We didn't feel rushed and the service was fantastic. We also ate in the Solarium Bistro and several Specialty restaurants. Very pleased that we didn't encounter terrible food or service. PS..sorry if this a repeat post. The memory is the first to go...l

Update to Original Post Just Disembarked From Oasis of the Seas today (10/1/23). The food and service in MDR was great. The dishes were hot, we didn't feel rushed, the service from staff was amazing. We also ate lunch in Eindjammer, the food options were plentiful, the food areas were not a mess, the food that needed to be hot was hot, and what needed to be cold was cold. I am happy to report that the complaints that I have been reading about didn't occur for me.

Contact Royal Caribbean about this charging for pizza
A and M replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I didn't get the survey and sent an email to the executive team just to voice a resounding "Dont Charge". I wanted them to hear. I did receive a response that it was passed to operations and thank you for email. The response was actually nicer than how I just stated, and probably a generic response, but at least I voiced an opinion. So, I'm on your side, voice an opinion. -

Thank you

Not sure if this question should be here or it's own topic. Anyway, I was wondering if I buy internet packages prior to boarding, can one get the free day or whatever the crown and anchor benefit is for Diamond Plus or lower as credit on one's account onboard?

New cruise planner item, Premier Pass?
A and M replied to MerryLoves2Cruise's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
It was a glitch in the system. I read an article that stated RCL was refunding those that purchased it. It was an internet article so no actual verification as to validity. It is a sweet deal if Royal leaves it up. -
Thanks everyone for the response. I will just have to see for myself in September. It could just be a hit or miss thing which is normal when food is being prepared on such a large scale.

Traveling Mike My question is what expectations do you have? 5 start restaurant or local restaurant or better than you can cook. what I am expecting is food that should be hot is hot and food that is cold should be cold. I expect service to be good but understand the staff is overwhelmed. I expect to be served in a reasonable time frame ..meaning not waiting hours for dishes but not feeling rushed either. I want to come away feeling satisfied that the meal was delicious and relaxing and it was a good time had by all. I have cruised with Royal Caribbean primarily and have enjoyed the service and food in all areas across the fleet in the past. I don't expect 5 star dining in the MDR..but I expect that whatever I order to be good and hot. Now, whether I personally like the type of dish (meaning I am trying something out of my usual comfort zone) then that is on me and not the MDR, and I would just order something else. I don't think that is an unreasonable request. I will see what happens on my September cruise and post after.

Cruise on Oasis September 24

I am hearing a lot about bad food in MDR and specialty restaurants. Cruise with Ben and David gave a brutal review of food in MDR. I had a friend return last month from a Panama cruise and said the food in MDR and Chops was horrible. I am heading on a cruise in September on Oasis and really hope this was just a fluke and not trending. If food is horrible, they may lose a Diamond member to other cruise lines. What is everyone seeing or Hearing? Have you had a recent cruise within last couple of months and encountered the same thing?
