Cruising Granny

Always amazes me how we “normal” people get that 28 kindergartners is too many in a classroom but “the powers that be” don’t. My last year teaching in FL, 1996, I maxed out at 31 first graders with a part time assistant. Retired now, after teaching in GA. Miss the teaching part and the kiddos but not all the other you have to put up with now. To all you teachers, bless you! and retirement is wonderful! Just went on 10 day cruise and looking forward to 2 more this year. Only one during peak “kids time” since we’re taking grands and great grands!

Whoop whoop!!!! Got on the ship at 11:15!!!! No problems! They did rescan passport and retake picture. Set Sail Pass was on the app! In the cabin waiting for luggage. It’s all good

Just received an email saying our St Lucia excursion was cancelled. Hubby was really looking forward to this was. It included Diamond Falls. Anyone have any suggestions for replacement? Guess I’ll be visiting Shore Excursions on the ship Thanks for any help

I am also sailing on Sunday and having the same problem. I left home this morning but printed a copy, took a picture and my granddaughter put it in my Apple Wallet. Hopefully one of these will work Sunday. It is scary to not be able to see things this close to sailing. Good luck everyone and enjoy your cruise.

So I am sailing out of Miami Sunday, had 11:00 - 11:30 check in and got an email and text today saying if I had that time to please wait and arrive at 12:00. Thoughts on what you would do. I to am a rule follower but want to make sure I get a parking place too.

I didn’t see it either. We are sailing this Sunday and just hoping all is set. If not I guess I’ll just have to do it at the port. As someone just posted, the app is doing some crazy things with check in right. My is flipping back and forth telling me to start check in and then welcoming me at my scheduled time and showing my set sail pass. I did print a copy of set sail pass so hopefully I will be sailing Sunday Good luck!

OK so I am waiting for the drop of 7 night Wonder cruises for July 2025 (as everyone else is too). My dilemma is that I will be on Grandeur Sunday, Feb 25 - Wed., March 6. I will not have internet, a “poors vintage”, and my TA is out of office for family emergency. I’ve emailed her my preference. Can she book and hold a reservation for me? If she is available. Or should I go to Next Cruise and book? Would she be able to give me a group rate if I go ahead and book and then move to her? I am so confused. Can anyone help me out? TIA

Sailing on Grandeur Sunday, Feb 25, Terminal G. Is it as bad as A? Any suggestions? Driving in with 11:00 check in.

We are checked in with an arrival time. I went in to add pictures but can’t see it. I also know I scanned passport earlier but can’t see it either. Travel info has a green check and says Complete. Arrival Time has a green check and is there. Health status is not checked and says to do Feb 24 which I knew. My question is: Are they there and I just can’t see them? Set Sail Pass is ready to be printed. Sailing next Sunday and don’t want any surprises! Thanks

Need suggestions. What would you recommend for unplanned ports? 2 “Vintages”, no matter which “Live Blog” definition you go with. Although our grandkids say we don’t act our age - so we do have that. Puerto Plato. San Juan - plan to walk or taxi to the forts. St John’s, Antigua. Bridgetown, Barbados. Castries, St Lucia - Excursion to Diamond Falls with Shore Excursions. St Kitts - Scenic Railroad Tour with RC Just trying to see what to do on our own. Thanks for any help

Sailing on Grandeur out of Miami, terminal G, Feb 25. Will be driving down and staying with a friend about 1 1/2 hours from the port. Usually sail out of PC, new to Miami. Suggestions on what you would do. Thoughts on what is easier. TIA

Driving to Miami for end of February cruise. Need help with hotel and parking. Should we stay at hotel and then park at the port or stay and park at hotel? Any recommendations? All help appreciated.
