  1. Did you try to click on the word "pending"?
  2. I've been getting mine. Did you check your spam folder (even though you got them in the past, you just never know).
  3. If you wouldn't mind changing the topic line of this post to reflect the actual topic instead of your username, that'd be great. Thanks!
  4. Yes, she is still in Cadiz.
  5. It's just too soon to know. It hasn't been open for dinner since the restart.
  6. Yes, please self quarantine somewhere if you test positive, even if asymptomatic.
  7. That looks correct to me. Did it have a sleeve on it that says "DO NOT OPEN UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO DO SO"? That would indicate that it's the proctored test. There should also be a QR code to download the Navica App.
  8. Intern problems again, lol.
  9. I'd check it once a day at this point. I got the UDP for my October 24th sailing, but I purchased it last December, and it's no longer available on my sailing.
  10. Incorrect. I do it every time. My android phone is WiFi call enabled and I can make regular phone calls and text as normal when hooked up to Voom (on airplane mode).
  11. Problems would be solved if everyone just switched to Android phones. Just sayin'.
  12. Ok, but that's different from SMS texting, which is what I was talking about.
  13. That's weird. You'd think that texting is texting. I use wifi calling/texting all of the time from my android phone to others who have IPhones.
  14. On some ships now there's an option to pay for messaging on the ship. It's a couple of dollars a day, I believe. It's an option if both of you aren't planning on getting Voom.
  15. Ha, yep! I immediately booked a Beach Club cabana! That only used about half of it, though, so I'm trying to figure out what to do with the other half.
  16. I've left from Seattle and Vancouver. They are both awesome cities. Vancouver may be more expensive to get to - it just depends on where you are, I guess. Last time the exchange rate was very much in my favor, so I got a great hotel and a ridiculously low price. It's not as great right now, but it's not bad, either.
  17. You do not have to wear one if you are in a vaccinated-only venue. So it'll vary by venue depending on the ship. This article details which venues were which back in July. I'm not sure if anything has changed. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/06/28/here’s-which-parts-of-the-cruise-ship-will-be-limits-unvaccinated-passengers-royal
  18. Exactly.
  19. I'd pick May over April (I'd pick June over May). While the prices are super low in April, there's also a chance that you'll be limited to how close you can get to things due to ice. It's also a bit soon to start seeing many whales, if you're into that (if you're not, we simply can't be friends because you're clearly a psychopath. KIDDING!) I've only been up there 3 times - twice on "smaller" ships (Vision, and a Princess ship) and Ovation. While I liked Ovation as a ship, I wasn't crazy about her as an Alaskan ship. There were so many venues that had very little window exposure to the ocean compared to the smaller ships (especially a Radiance Class ship that has SO many windows). I was frustrated sitting in a bar or Izumi and having no windows in case a, you know, whale or something showed up. Ovation has 270, which is an awesome venue, but aside from that venue I didn't find it terribly Alaska friendly. On the other hand, she has a far higher ration of balconies (and virtual interior rooms), so there's that. Both types of ships are great, but that's just my opinion FWIW.
  20. I just received a large OBC from a price drop after final payment date and it showed up within hours on my Cruise Planner. My TA said that she has heard that sometimes it shows up and then disappears and to let her know if that happens so that she can take care of it. If it's not showing up on your Cruise Planner, and you don't have a TA, call Royal and let them know.
  21. As long as the one you buy at the store is the exact same Binax test that's proctored. You can't just take the at-home tests that aren't supervised.
  22. Yes, it's the WiFi that makes it work. Nearly all phones these days can do WiFi calling/texting. But like wordell said, you can test it at home if you have WiFi there.
  23. Our pet sitter is the only person we communicate with back home as well. I feel your pain about leaving your poodle behind!
