I've found that to be typical. It'll eventually allow it on the app. Checking in on the app is nice because you can scan your passports, take a photo directly on the app, and you'll be much more likely to get expedited arrival (which you wont' get by checking in online).

It's also difficult because it's one of the first types of rooms to sell out on most ships, so unless you're looking at a newly released itinerary, it's probably not even going to be available to book. You won't even see them most of the time.

OBC from the Royal Caribbean Credit Card usually doesn't show up in the cruise planner until less than a month prior to sailing (I think it was 2 weeks prior when I last used it), however people say that if you call them and ask them to apply it immediately they will do so and it will show up in your cruise planner when it's actually useful ?

We'll be doing a 4x4 tour in St Maarten in 2 weeks - not booked through the ship. I'll be posting all about it! It's a 6-hour, full island tour.

We walk off the ship in every port (ok, tender in Bar Harbor) and do our own food/brewery tours in each city. We've only booked one excursion (Bar Harbor - Acadia and lobster bake - it wasn't worth the money) - we find the cities to be so much fun on their own!

Yeah, I'm interested in the cruises, but for the price I could do some pretty amazing overseas cruises. So I doubt we ever will.

I kept thinking, as some people were complaining that they weren't doing enough, "Just hang tight, this isn't over, their offers may change with time." Auto-refunding for no shows without any communication is pretty awesome. Definitely disappointing, and inconvenient for those who've planned their week/vacation around it, but I think Royal is taking what is a really unfortunate situation, that they did not create, ,and doing their best with it. I do feel for those whose vacations are altered, though.

I'd love that. Our closest cruise port is an 18 hour drive (at least until Viking starts sailing out of Duluth - a 3 1/2 hour drive, but those will be VERY expensive cruises).

I only take my Sea Pass card off the ship in Coco Cay. It's basically an extension of the ship.

Most insurance will cover flu shots. Not everyone has insurance.
