? What Will The Oasis Get During Dry Dock ?
AshleyDillo replied to FlowBro Ty's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Yes. -
Definitely read reviews for AirBnB if you are going to use them. I've successfully used them in the past, but typically for booking with a larger group over an extended period of time. My experience has been mostly positive, but you have to remember that you are staying in a residential situation and not all of your expected amenities may be included (toiletries in bathroom and sometimes even towels!)

That is the old deployment schedule; Royal has pushed back the release dates: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2019/10/29/royal-caribbean-delays-deployment-schedule-may-2021-april-2022

Not all of the itineraries have been released yet. If you try to view any of the 2022 ones they aren't showing either even though it's an allowable calendar selection.

That's what I had heard was happening. I seem to have the Carnival offer "Worlds Best Cruise Lines" ? on my account and it has the /amex booking requirement in terms and conditions. I'm with you in thinking that it's just going to recognize a charge that comes from one of those and give you the credit. Too bad it's not for any cruise line I'm interested in sailing or I would test it out.
-
Interesting. Does the terms for the Carnival one make you book through the /amex page as well? I have heard that folks were able to get the credit for the Carnival offer just by making a payment towards an existing booking.

These places don't have set menus. They're like the Windjammer buffet where items rotate.

If it's the ultimate flowrider experience that you are booking then you should be able to just book it for yourself and invite as many as allowed for the session. The info says you are effectively renting out the Flowrider: This is a full venue buyout with a one-on-one private lesson from our experienced FlowRider instructors

Dropping Luggage at Cruise Terminal?
AshleyDillo replied to Lovestotravel's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You don't need passports as you can use your ID and birth certificate instead since it's a closed loop US cruise. What I was attempting to emphasize is to not have those IDs in your luggage that you send to the ship as you're going to need them to board the ship. There have been horror stories of people who packed their passports and then they weren't able to find the luggage on the ship and therefore they weren't able to board but their luggage went ahead on the cruise without them! -
I got my FCC via email when it was promised. Sorry to hear you are having issues with getting what is owed to you.

Dropping Luggage at Cruise Terminal?
AshleyDillo replied to Lovestotravel's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Terminal should open around 10am. Drop the luggage off and go explore. San Juan is excellent for this as they typically have an 8pm departure. You just need to be back and onboard by 90 minutes before departure. Absolutely make sure you have your passports on you before giving up your luggage..you don't want to accidentally send it to the ship before you check in! You also may want to go ahead and checkin after you drop the luggage off so you don't have to worry about it later. -
Sorrentos is on the promenade next to Cafe Promenade..basically it's a counter you walk up to and they hand you slices of pizza. Playmakers is a sports bar..they even have a free foosball table in there to use! They have a menu with lots of kid friendly sports bar type foods (burgers, nachos, wings, etc.) Embarkation day is the best time to hit it up before everyone else catches on!

What's great about cruising is you can try new things! If you find something that you may enjoy on the menu order it to try it and if you don't like it you can still order the steak.

Alaska Suite Benefits on Land Tour?
AshleyDillo replied to melmar02's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You will get double points for the entire length of the land tour and the cruise. We did the 8B land tour and then went on Radiance southbound. The 8A and 8B land tours have the most train segments so you travel between all of the cities by train. The other tours rely more on motorcoaches. -
Anthem OTS 2019-Nov-16 re-routed
AshleyDillo replied to TheaFromCDA's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I would like to consider myself a seasoned cruiser and unless Royal is offering a full refund if you cancel, I would still sail. I have been on Anthem to Canada/NE and it was rainy a few of those days. I didn't really notice as I found plenty to do on the ship that kept me warm and out of the rain The kids will have Adventure Ocean which they may enjoy partaking in. I always advise to take the cruise in these situations since the folks that sail tend to end up better compensated than those that cancel. Royal won't offer more than a full refund and you can assume that's going to be a in the form of a Future Cruise Credit with restrictions and an expiration date. If you're fine with that and could use it within the year, then go for it. If you do take the option to sail you sometimes end up a with partial FCC and OBC AND you still got to be on a cruise. -
I want to say that they are temporarily located at Chill Island but closer to the end where South Beach is located.

getting multiple drinks at one time?
AshleyDillo replied to jaymah101's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
They usually will let me get a soda with my alcoholic drink if I only have one card, but they tend to make me wait to get a second alcoholic drink. -
No size limits for the carry on bags except that they have to be able to fit through the scanner. It fits a pretty large sized suitcase (definitely bigger than the airport scanners). This is just for the luggage that you are bringing onto the ship yourself. If you don't need your luggage you can have it directly sent to the room when you arrive at the port. There will be porters to take the bags and they will end up delivered outside your room by that evening. There's not a size restriction on that either.

I just threw mine in my wallet because my FL license isn't set to be renewed until next year and I don't want to be caught off-guard by the real ID compliance for airline travel that's going to kick in next year. Plus my DL photo looks nothing like me anymore ?

Whew..that made my heart skip a beat for a moment. I always have my passport card in my wallet and I do take my birth certificate AND my passport when I cruise just to be extra sure!
