I would hope Royal would design a smaller LNG fuel class to replace some of the older vessels that can access the smaller ports, etc. I understand the big money/profits of course are in the larger ships, and right now we prefer them, but I hope they don't completely abandon the smaller class ships. Maybe an LNG version of Voyager class as @Jill mentioned above? You could argue Celebrity can fill that niche going forward, but they don't offer the same experience... maybe a little too "mature" of an experience for my wife and I right now! 😀

Consumerism at its finest lol. We know about 1 more Oasis class and 3 Icon class ships (the first of which hasn't even gone into service) to the tune of more than $5B. But you know.....what about after that?
 
Reminds me of vacations when my kids were little. I know we already went mini golfing, swimming, water skiing, to the amusement park, and had pizza and Ice cream but now I'm booooooored.

My wife and I were booked on this cruise (starting in Civitavecchia, so I guess B2B), but when it came time for final payment, we were scared off by the Covid testing requirements in place at the time.  Test in US before leaving, test in Rome before boarding, test onboard before Barcelona reboarding was just too unsettling at the time.  Of course, now we wish we were onboard with you.

I catch his stuff from time to time. Not on tiktok but it comes up on my insta or facebook. Never heard his music but his reels are interesting on what it's like to live on a ship for an extended period of time.

I also follow him on tikTok.  Gives an interesting perspective on life on a cruise ship!

Optional masks on the Oasis & the Allure. (March & May) We were told to make sure we had them when we disembarked at the ports, especially Aruba last week. Not once did we need them, even in Aruba; my daughter & I put them on in the taxi ride from He!! when we were squished in the van with 10-12 people just for peace of mind, there was some sneezing and we were testing for our sailing the next week but in retrospect we were probably fine. 
We never wore masks anywhere else & while some did we were very happy it was a personal choice. They were not mandated anywhere on the ships, so it was all smiles all day long!
Side note: Everyone seemed kind to each other no matter what their choice, I kept thinking all humanity should cruise;  all walks of life with so many differences coming together & all sailing in harmony! What a beautiful journey, I yearn for that on land!

Once in a while (but not often) a ship leaving Cape Liberty might be allowed to sail up the river and near Manhattan before turning and doubling back to leave the area and enter the Atlantic.  I was lucky enough to have this happen once but it should not be expected.
Sailing away under a bridge is always a good time.   Going under the Verrazano Narrows bridge is usually 20 minutes or so after leaving Cape Liberty and kind of cool.   Unless it's raining make plans to be outside for the experience.  

We were fortunate (?) to sail on the first RCL cruise from Port Liberty on a Canadian itinerary in May 2004 on the Voyager.  It was so new, there weren't any directions to the port available, but as lifelong NYers, we found our way.
As I recall, Voyager made it's way up the Hudson River, turned around, past the Statue of Liberty and under the Verrazano Bridge.  What a great view and experience.  Also worthwhile to get up for the early morning return to NY

May, 2022 on Harmony - - Junior and Elaine, Suite Concierges and Vacancy in CK were truly outstanding.

All things considered, they are in great shape!

We were in a suite on Harmony in May.  A fellow cruiser suggested we try the Banana Split in CK that's on the children's menu.  2 days later we tried one after lunch.  Only regret is we didn't do it sooner.

We are now looking for another cruise to book. I will take one for the team and go too (the things I do for my brother).
