Just be aware that this group is largely unsupervised.  They are allowed to come and go from the teen area as they please.  There are scheduled activities, but the kids are not required to attend.  They often hang out and find things to do around the ship outside of the organized stuff.
I trust my son not to get into (too much) trouble, but some parents are not comfortable with this set up. He is 16 now and we are about to go on his 4th cruise as a teen.  He has always found a group to spend the week with and has always had a great time.
You know your daughter best, so you are the best one to decide where she belongs.
I recommend getting the Zoom internet and using a web-based texting app to keep in touch with her.  Set some meet up times, etc.

When we were scheduling our tests for our December cruise which my son was too young to be vaccinated, I was doing it all for free.  Including the port and onboard test for my son.  So cost really wasn't a factor for us.
We have had to have tests for other reasons.  Like my husband had to have a positive official test for my daughter for his caretaker benefits to kick in and not have to work so he could take care of the kids.  We had to eventually have negatives for my kids to return to activities, etc.  Now the protocols have changed, so we technically didn't need to test, but recently when my son had symptoms but we did an at home since we need to stay away from certain high risk relatives if we are positive.
But in all the tests we have needed for various things they have all been free.  We use the at home government ones now that we don't need formal stuff.
If you are not vaccinated you need a PCR test 3 days before, you get one at the port (rapid), and if you are longer than 5 days one before you debark the ship.

Oasis class is different since they have a permanent bar right there.

They had a bar in the suite lounge on Oasis.  If they didn't have something that you asked for they'd go to the main bar.

I just got back from Oasis and the bartender in the suite lounge made me a drink with elderflower liquer, vodka, sour mix, club soda, and a dash of strawberry puree for color.  I don't like really sweet drinks, so I asked for it to be light on the elderflower and sour mix.  It was very tasty; you could ask for more sour mix and elderflower if you want it sweeter. THey also had other liquers to make sweeter drinks.

I use the “notes” app on my iPhone. It lets me to “scan” each page and then I can email them at the end of the cruise and it puts it in PDF form.

Ya he literally hasnt had symptoms for 2 days now. We are still on the boat waiting to disembark. We will be the last ones off with the other covid people. I will try to count and get an estimate of how many of us were in quarantine.

I’m so sad it’s my last night!
There were two bars that had bartenders who would start making my drink of choice when they saw me coming (the Solarium and the Trellis)—and it only took $1 cash per drink on top of the DBP during the first couple of days. I will be sure to mention them by name in the post-cruise survey if I’m given the option.
I feel like I could never parse any announcements over the intercom, which was frustrating—on this cruise in particular the announcements I cared about where Aqua80-related, and even though I was listening for them, tonight I wandered from the Schooner Bar into an unexpected full Aqua80 performance with almost a full house…I was honestly shocked they would even try high dives and the tightrope walker the night before Bayonne. (The tightrope walker was not, in fact, not able to make it across with the effortlessness he achieved on Wednesday; I left to get a Campfire Cookie at Playmakers after his first couple of attempts to stay upright, which made me feel bad.)
I’m SO happy I made this trip, and I honestly think I’d rather come back on Oasis before experiencing a new ship: is that weird?

One of the things I am learning anew on this trip is how much more my experiences are impacted by my perspective than by external circumstances—“I am having a phenomenal time on this cruise” is a state of mind as much as anything else. With that in mind, I’m watching Aqua 80 rehearsals and appreciating the ways in which this is giving me an even better understanding of what goes into putting the show together than just watching it would.

Happened to my son (not on a cruise).  His son tested positive just before Xmas.  My son’s company required a 14 day quarantine (ridiculous especially because son never tested positive).  Gets 1 week covid pay, nothing for the second week.  Goes back to work for a week and his daughter comes down with it.  She is able to go back to school 5 days later but he’s out for another 2 weeks this time with no pay at all.  And he still never tested positive!!  Tried to apply for unemployment for the three missing weeks but was rejected.  Just a mess.

Alot of positive cases here on serenade of the seas. Alot.
    including us.
our son has tested positive on thursday. We are all now confined to the room. My husband and i have no symptoms and have been testing negative.
we got free wifi and the remainder of our cruise refunded, as well as room service for whatever whenever.
it sucks but i knew the risk when i chose to cruise. I just wish it didnt happen to us. Also i think i under estimated what a covid hotbed this would be.
Went through thursday, friday, saturday, and then debarkation sunday morning.
    fun times.

ask me anything about the process and ill try to answer.

We did it in 2019 with our (then) 5 and 7 year olds.  They are picky eaters but it was a fun experience.  I believe we had bought the 3 night dining package and our kids were free or very inexpensive, so it was worth it.  They really loved the atmosphere: large and/or decorative chairs, eclectic silverware, interesting presentation of food, etc.

We had gotten the glitch drink package for $17/pp, but it was for our May 2020 cruise that got cancelled.  I was so sad. I highly doubt that mistake will ever be made again.

There are enough non-seafood main courses to still enjoy, and I believe everyone should try it once, if they have the UDP or are Star class. You might not be able to do many of the apps because of this, I ordered the mac and cheese fries off the children's menu as my app. The short rib is good enough for a visit, plus they have good drinks and desserts, so it won't be a wasted trip on your behalf.

I did Wonderland on Harmony. The food is ........frou frou in my opinion. But the experience is wonderful. It will be an 2hr affair and you will get dinner and a show. I feel like the menu is more seafood based, especially when it comes to appetizers, and you need to go in with an open mind. My travel companions had most of the apps and enjoyed them.
For my entree(s) I got the chicken and the egg, which was a piece of chicken with mashed potatoes and other purees shaped like eggs. I also got the short rib which looks pretty funky with its plating and purees but was the best short rib I have had across the fleet. We got all the desserts to try and while most will rave about the world, I don't like caramel, so I skipped that one and enjoyed the mystical mushroom Garden. Also try the Chesire cat Cosmo, major delish!
I would say if you have the UDP, definitely go. If you like molecular gastronomy, go. If you like your food to look frou frou, go. But if this is the only specialty restaurant you are booking and you really care about taste over beauty, on Harmony do Jamie's or 150CP instead.

We loved Wonderland on Symphony and are planning to do it twice on our next cruise. You should be a bit adventurous as they don't serve your run-of-the-mill food - it's just as advertised - imaginative cuisine. It's also helpful if you like seafood because quite a few of the appetizers are seafood. As for chosing what to eat, we let our waitress decide and it worked out great for us.
If you want some ideas what to expect here's our first experience in Wonderland:

I think everyone should hold off on beverage packages for 2023 cruises. Right now, they have set the prices at a high point to gauge what consumers are willing to pay. I can't imagine many of you want to pay $80+ for the DX. So, I am sure they will decrease, as long as people don't pay the high prices.

It's not even that they don't want others to know, but if you lose it it would hopefully take some time for someone to figure out which deck to  let themselves into your cabin and steal stuff (or worse, I guess).

It’s a “security thing”.  I suppose many folks don’t want others to know exactly which room they are in.

I feel like I’ve really had a Perfect Day—I had firstlunch at the Boardwalk Dog House; watched Aqua 80 rehearsals with a couple of beers, had secondlunch at El Loco Fresh; and then napped in the Solarium until 3:15, at which point I came onto the island as the vast majority of people were walking back onto the ship. I feel sorry for the guitarist scheduled for the 4:15 show, because the audience couldn’t possibly be good and wasn’t.

I'm just so happy to be here! I can’t stop walking around grinning like an idiot.
