  1. Leaving tonight and headed west for a while. Return to ENC up in the air because access route through Raleigh to get back could get the worst of the rain and be impassable.
  2. Haven't seen a Cruise Compass for your trip posted. There was one from August recently added, but it only had the activity schedule rather than the whole CC.
  3. Since you're considering a cancellation of all cruises based on the loss of Red Velvet Cake fleet-wide, @DocLC decided to hold off on adding your info to the list.
  4. And a large plate from the main buffet to fill up with desserts!
  5. The casino isn't open on the departure day sailing from Baltimore because the evening is spent in U.S. Territorial Waters. How late into the night is the ship usually in U.S. waters?
  6. Local lobster on your own or purchase a shore excursion that includes a lobster bake. Similar scenario to salmon in Alaska - MUCH better locally than on the ship.
  7. WOW band = additional tan line = No thanks.
  8. Sounds like you should try an old fashioned at each bar on the ship. With the package, any that aren't to your liking can be discarded.
  9. Love that commercial - especially because I understand the specifics of the humor.
  10. A six (slangily referred to as a "sixer") is scored when a batted ball clears the boundary on the fly. Slightly analogous to a baseball home run, except that a six is always worth six points whereas a home run will score anywhere from one to four depending on the situation.
  11. Shorts, sandals, and polo shirts - that's the default. If it's too cold on departure from home to dress like that, a quick stop by the men's room at the airport to get into proper attire is made. Similar scenario on return. On both Alaska cruises I've taken, the only time I wore long pants was for dinner in the MDR. Change right back to shorts as soon as possible. Even walked around the deck (comfortably) in shorts and sandals while cruising up to the glacier (while most of those outside were in heavy winter coats and complaining about the cold).
  12. More action in poker than in Major League Snoozeball.
  13. Even with a private table reserved ahead of time, it is a good idea to go to the dining room and verify after boarding and before dinner the first night.
  14. Change "some Texans" to "some people" and you're spot on. In (almost) any situation, you'll find both open-minded and closed-minded individuals with respect to many things.
  15. Bit of trivia - the chain now known simply as Buffalo Wild Wings ("B-dubs" for short) used to be "BW3s" - Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck (for the kummelweck sandwiches).
  16. eDocs are available at 49 days. The only thing that opens up at 90 is the Set Sail Pass.
  17. Try clicking on the "3 day" tab and look at a smaller list. Or click on a day to see if it opens up.
  18. Not necessarily the same people. We always have additional spending onboard, but we are able to keep wine in the house. We visit wineries frequently and have rarely done a tasting without purchasing multiple bottles. Then, when we have guests and open a bottle or three, we make sure to replenish the stock in order to keep a proper variety on hand.
  19. Having grown up in PeeGee Canny and having relatives in the Nap Lis area, it all makes perfect sense to me!
  20. EVERYBODY who isn't from Texas is from a different culture and NOBODY "fits in." Just learn the phrase "everything's bigger in Texas" and you'll be fine.
  21. That still brings the total for 7 nights to $420. Still much more than a la cart $300.
