  1. Some have cruised so many times that they can't begin to pick a favorite. Special events like a honeymoon ( @Matt ) or experiences with a young grandchild (myself) are easier to pinpoint.
  2. "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" takes on a whole new meaning in this situation.
  3. Hoping that both Baltimore and Bermuda are open for business in time for our May 9 Grandeur sailing to happen.
  4. Western Caribbean on Liberty with our 11 month old granddaughter. It was great getting up with her every morning and just letting her run - got to see the ship from a perspective completely different from any other cruise. Loved interacting with all the other early risers - some of them commented that they looked forward to seeing her every morning. And as beautiful as a sunrise at sea is - imagine sharing the wonder of it with one so free and pure.
  5. It was only a favorite because of the wonder in the eyes of young (not yet 4 and not yet 2) grandkids. If you're taking toddlers on an excursion, that one's great. Agree that otherwise it would have been just okay.
  6. For me it's a tossup between the America's Cup Regatta (done in both St. Maarten and Cozumel) and the Butterfly Farm in Aruba. Sailing for the fun and competitive nature of the activity. Butterfly Farm because I did it with my young grandkids.
  7. The stares are because you're gonna run out!
  8. The only thing I MIGHT change is to be more vocal (and potentially obnoxious) when telling idiots to wash their hands before leaving the restrooms.
  9. The 30 days may have started with the most recent date that a ship departed. Or resuming April 11 may be specifically because that's a Saturday and a majority of departures are on the weekend.
  10. Check your account on the tv when you stumble back to the stateroom.
  11. You pulled the trigger a bit too soon. Bigger FCC for cancellation by Royal Caribbean instead of by you.
  12. That was sarcastic commentary on the potential effect.
  13. Dear Valued Guest, We are writing to provide you an update to the itinerary for your XXX of the Seas cruise to Alaska. Your departure port has changed from Vancouver to Galveston and the cruise will now make stops at the ports of Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan. Sincerely, Aurora Yera-Rodriguez
  14. Perhaps you can arrange to have been outside of restricted countries for more than 15 days prior to embarkation?
  15. Taking an extra, empty suitcase to fill up?
  16. As good a reason as any to board the ship!
  17. Unfortunately, the CDC website doesn't have a definition of what qualifies as a "chronic lung disease," let alone anything that makes it clear what is "severe."
  18. We got the email on Tuesday - 30 fewer minutes at King's Wharf on our May 9 sailing. Given that folks on an itinerary that doesn't include Bermuda got the same notification, it would seem to be Grandeur-related.
  19. I believe you can count on it.
  20. Failing to take steps to reconnect with the accidental disconnect is, in fact, poor customer service. They have access to the number from which you are calling. They have access to your contact information from the reservation they just confirmed. Failing to correct their error is inexcusable, even during a cluster****.
  21. You'll want to cancel on the 7th if you decide to not go. The deadlines for cancellation are 48 hours before THE DAY OF TRAVEL - that's midnight Thursday for your Sunday afternoon departure.
  22. Then it would be "the dice ARE cast." Dice is the plural of die. One die, two dice.
  23. Unless the JS available to you is also aft-facing, the answer is easy, IMO. Keep what you've got.
  24. Many future cruises are now MORE expensive than they were a short time ago.
  25. If Grandeur departs Baltimore on May 9 - #stillgoing
