  1. I got the email saying that it was time to submit to see if I get picked but the dates and locations didn't work with my calendar. I can't wait to see pictures and info from those that are picked and able to go!
  2. this is great for people that don't live in an area where free covid tests are not easy to find or are just really busy and can't get out to get one.
  3. You can call Royal to ask which or how many nights will be formal night. Or your travel agent can find out. I know when we did our Alaska cruise we didn’t dress up. I just can’t remember if there were no formal nights or we just opted to not dress up. We kept it pretty casual for that cruise.
  4. Definitely one of the best meals I had on the ship.
  5. When you choose your table size during the booking process (or your agent does) there are tables from2-10 people. My last cruise we had 16 people so we got a table for 10 next to a table of 6 and all just rotated who sat at the smaller table so we had a chance to sit with each other during the cruise.
  6. The last time we cruises we accidentally booked speciality dining on lobster night and missed it!! Never again will I make that mistake.
  7. Subject to availability of course.
  8. I always love being able to just have a few small plates. Love their sushi!
  9. I would not do that. If they see that happening they may call you out on it. Not sure what they would do but it would be embarrassing for the person holding the wrong card. I would not try to buck the system. If everyone did that that was staying suite level, then it's just not special. Ok. I'm a suite snob, but if I'm paying extra to be there and find out that people not paying for suite class are getting to use my benefits, i'm not happy.
  10. YYEESSSS I was just going to post the same answer. Don't even think about touching the ESCARGOT! It's the only place where I get it! Change whatever else you want but hands off the snails!!
  11. I agree with the above responses. As soon as you get on board go right to the speciality restaurant and make reservations for all of your speciality restaurants. You definitely don't want to wait on that.
  12. I really thought this sailing had a good chance of going. Not surprised, but disappointed. It's ok though, at least we are local and didn't have air and hotel involved but I feel for the people that had more planned with this cruise.
  13. our cruise for August 7 out of Baltimore to Bermuda was cancelled just last week. I had kind of been expecting it so it was no big surprise. Disappointing, but not surprising. I did already pay final payment just a few days before so we just decided to not lift and shift, but go for the 125%. I know it stinks when things are cancelled so close to sailing and fortunately for us we didn't have flights because we live close to Baltimore. If we had a cruise that involved flights and hotel I'm sure i'd be feeling different right now. I don't think RCCL waited until the last minute because the wanted my money, I think they waiting because they were still hoping it was going to sail.
  14. I just went to Disney World a week ago. We went there knowing the rules and were happy to follow them. I think the same thing will happen with cruising. If you really want to go back to sea you'll know in advance what is expected and will be happy to comply. If you don't want to wear the mask then just wait a bit. Everyone travels differently and for some, that experience that they expect may mean waiting a little bit longer. It will all work out. We'll get out there eventually. And I am HAPPY to be one of the first to sail to pave the way and "test the waters" for those that want to wait. ?
  15. I live in northern VA and get at least 2-3 cold calls a week from realtors wanting to know if I want to sell my house. I'm sure you will have no problems. Have a great move and enjoy FL!
  16. I have a cruise booked on the Grandeur Oct 2018. Can't wait to hear about your trip.
  17. Just got the JW blue deal in August on our Alaska cruise. I'm not a JW fan, but my husband was thrilled. The sale might be something that is different ship to ship though.
