  1. Routes You can catch the metro to the nearest metro station however you have then got a walk to the cruiseship. We took a taxi from hotel next to Central station to the port, it was about 280dkk. Taxis are metered, no uber in Copenhagen.
  2. all NCL have done is lift their restrictions on unvaxed cruising so they are now in line with other cruiselines who have allowed this since the restart. Admittedly there is no mention of % of unvaxed guests allowed however this may be determined by the rules issued by ports of call. Its a step in the right direction, problem is for some of those who for whatever reason decided not to get vaccinated the step isnt big enough or quick enough.
  3. Isla Verde to pier was $11 in an Uber. Courtyard by Marriot right on the beach. Its a little further away than other areas mentioned but really nice.
  4. Agree 100% We are taking our granddaughter who will be 5 yrs old at the time to visit Santa in Lapland next year. It's about creating memories not just for ourselves but for those we love.
  5. As mentioned above the rules In Europe are different as a timescale is involved for those that have received vaccine. To be considered as fully vaccinated your 2nd dose cannot be more than 270 days old, if it is you are considered as unvaccinated. For these people the only way to be considered as fully vaccinated is to get the booster.
  6. Everyone booked with MEI now on line to their TA asking why they didn't get free drinks package lol
  7. We had an overnight in Stockholm, we could come and go as we pleased at any time night or day.
  8. Finally someone says it! All of the negative posts about the change this is the real reason! People were happy enough to accept the rules when making booking but now because they miss out by a day or 2 its not fare on them! Lets say it was 8 days and above would all those posting negative comments actually care about changes? Don't think the would because its not their cruise! These changes even though small are finally a step in the right direction and should be welcomed.
  9. Its on another thread somewhere, couldn't work out how to link so just took screenshot @Mike.s
  10. Thing is 2 days ago before regulations were changed you were still in the same situation as when you booked cruise regarding possible financial implications if someone tests positive.
  11. Most would be happy with anything as it shows you have valued their work ethic!
  12. Under 12's dont count on Virgin because being an Aduly only cruiseline they don't have any.
  13. Not sure about in US but over this side of the pond All verifly app does is allow you to check in so you can pick your seat! Thats it!!! At airport you will still need to show all documentation. I saved myself the hassle and just checked in at Airport, think BA must have binned verifly as last couple of flights no mention of it.
  14. Not sure where you come from as rules may differ by country so here's the link for spanish website https://www.spth.gob.es/ Side note for any UK citizens planning to head to Barcelona for a cruise, not sure if its been fully implemented yet but Spanish government are pushing forward with plans to ensure brits have a minimum of £85 per day for the duration of your stay. A friend got finances checked on entry to Ibiza last week.
  15. On our Baltic Cruise we asked for extra envelopes so we could give them directly to those who we felt deserved a bit extra on top of the prepaid.
  16. https://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/articles.cfm?ID=6383 Interesting article about virgin cruises. Its always good to know what to expect..Celebrity Cruises it definitely isn't lol Some will love it others will wonder they have booked lol
  17. It can take a period of time for any money due to be reimbursed into your account, i would suggest calling them directly.
  18. To stop any European cruisers getting confused This only applies for US cruises! For European cruises boosters are required and should be no more than 270 days before cruise to be classed as up to date.
  19. You could remove all of the stress in relation to completing form by letting someone else in your travelling party do it for you lol
  20. Yeah mine also. Still wasnt a problem because if you dont want to tip you just file it in B for bin.
  21. Envelope left on cabin bed along with statement showing any onboard spending. Personally i don't see it as a big deal! If you want to give extra you put it in the envelope if you don't you just ignore it.
  22. I think what the Og poster is trying to say are that the weeks leading up to the cruise are stressful because you start to think more about the tests and the "what if's" What if someone tests positive before cruise? What if someone tests positive onboard? So what og poster is hoping for is that RC drop policy so people can look forward to cruise without the added stress and extra costs Having cruised i can say i felt exaclty the same
