Dear Matt,
My wife and I decided to celebrate our 50th anniversary as a Star Class passengers on Oasis of the Seas based upon what we learned from you and your Royal Caribbean blog on YouTube. We thank you and your blog for a wonderful cruise.
Based upon your advice:
We scoured recent Cruise Compasses for Oasis of the Seas. When our  Royal Genie, Derrick Martis (who made our cruise magical), contacted us prior to the cruise, we texted him a list of what we wanted to do. Upon boarding, Derrick presented us with a full schedule (date, time and location) of everything we asked for. Unfortunately the Aqua Show was cancelled because of a hydraulic leak. 
We checked in (including the health questionnaire) online and got to the ship at our scheduled boarding time so boarding was a snap. We went directly to our muster station. This entire process, curb to cabin, took less than 30 minutes. Also, we bought yellow highlighter, the plastic luggage tags and metal hooks. The luggage tags and highlighter were really helpful, however you should know that suite 1701 on Oasis of the Seas has wallpaper on drywall so the metal hooks don’t stick. It was pretty funny going from surface to surface trying to find non existent metal for the hooks and repeatedly watching them fall to the floor. 

Starting night 1 we went to the Trellis bar in Central Park to enjoy the beautiful view, the Blue Hawaiians (Trellis bar special) and a musician playing Spanish music on an acoustic guitar. Having the Ultimate Drink package allowed us to find quiet spots around the ship for a drink rather than the hubbub of most of the bars. Likewise, the Ultimate Dining package allowed us to eat all our meals in specialty restaurants. Believe it or not, we never made it into the Windjammer (first time in 8 cruises). There was no need. The Royal Genie made sure we had all our desired food, drinks and snacks in our cabin.
We saw Cats, the broadway musical, on board. The performers were excellent with wonderful voices and energy. The best show was the Ice show where the colors and pageantry were show stopping but the physicality of the performers stole the show. This one comic skater kept smashing into the fence to stop his momentum. Then he would jump into the stands and sit in a woman’s lap or kiss her hands; all unexpected and very funny. There was even a mind blowing demonstration of sand art that left the crowd in awe. 
Oasis of the Seas was our 8th Royal Caribbean cruise and our best. We were able to take advantage of everything on board the ship because we knew what to ask for. Thank you!!

We are on Explorer in September and are flying into Venice to spend a couple of nights there but then flying out of Bologna the day we get off the ship, as it is closer to Ravenna. Not sure if any use but thought would share!

We have a points issue as well.  We went to chat with the Loyalty Ambassador on OA last week.  She confirmed that the higher point total that was reflected in the app vs the lower point total on the website, was correct.  She also found that Dan had 5 separate C&A sub accounts 😵. She said she was going to merge all of those accounts and his points and mine should be the same.  Nope.  Hasn’t happened yet.  I think I might pay her another visit next week and see how long it’s supposed to take to get all of this reconciled.  Silly that they can’t fix this kind of nonsense.  At the end of next week’s B3B on OA we should hit 600 points but if this isn’t corrected we will not reach that number….a psychological barrier that we had been so happy to surpass…maybe.

My wife and I are very early risers.  We like to get coffee and go sit in the Solarium to watch the sun rise.  We will sit there for a few hours in the early mornings, reading, relaxing, and chatting with each other.  
 
When we were on Anthem at the beginning of February, we watched people get there early (5-530 am), put towels on loungers that were in “prime” spots (by the windows), then leave.  We wouldn’t see them again, even after 3+ hours.   
 
That is the behavior of “chair hogs”.  

Entitled is thinking that you can claim a chair as yours for the entire day by dropping junk on the chair and no one else should she allowed to use “your” chair regardless if you are actually using it or not

I guess when you order and sign for the wine on your account with your 40% (or whatever the discount is) it is up to you what you do with the wine in relation to sharing it?! 
Hopefully won't have the wine-police on your back!
 

They calculated cruise points for all of the "old" cruises using some sort of conversion (the details of which escape my memory).  As I recall, they actually were very generous with the points conversion for the old cruises.
At any rate, Dan and I have cruised on every single Royal cruise together (I have a few "extra" cruises that he did not go on) so our points should have been identical, but somehow, he had 7 more points than I did.  I called and asked them to do an "audit" which they did and at that time they explained to me how they converted those old 1-point-per-cruise points.  They never could figure out why Dan had more points than I did but the guy at C&A just gave me the extra 7 points and called it a day.

We were at Labadee last month and had pre-booked jet ski, zip wire and aqua park during Black Friday sales when there were around 50% reductions.
When got to the kiosk for the aqua park for our time slot we changed our minds as it looked more 'kiddie' than we thought. We spoke to the guy in the kiosk and just said we won't do it and didn't expect anything back, was our loss of about $12 each I think. 
Without us asking, RC refunded the booking to our onboard account. Not sure if this is the norm but top marks to RC for that.

Based on the dates I was on Grandeur and the way she was facing I am making the same assumption as you as it is listed as SST all 3 dates and she was in fact moored on the starboard side in Terminal G.

When I was on Oasis last February, we were facing the city and needed to turn around before leaving

We left two weeks ago facing the ocean, came back in the other way 

Here is cruise ship info for Miami Port and sometimes it lists which side of the ship will be parked along the pier.  You can change the date as the year moves along.  Not sure when January 2024 will actually be showing info but at least you can have this to check.
