This simple Xmas ball was found right in the security building at the dockyard just before walking onto the pier.  That may vary depending what section of the pier your end up at.  It was pretty cheap but it also isn't super fancy.  There were different colors.

There are quite a few shops in the "mall".  Some of them are pricey but the value of art is very personal.

You don't have to purchase Voom to use the chat/text feature of RoyalIQ, they are mutually exclusive and are purchased independently.
A Voom plan allows internet connectivity.  The chat feature of RoyalIQ is simply that, a chat add-on feature that doesn't use the internet.
If your friends had purchased Voom you wouldn't have had to purchase the chat add on within RoyalIQ, you could have used WhatsApp or any other wifi based chat app.
Having said that, RoyalIQ is eventually being replaced by the new 'Royal' app.

There is a more expensive option that is all you can eat and drink, alcohol included, but we do not drink alcohol (I am still fun, don’t judge??). And the food credit was more than enough for all of us.  If you book with resortforaday they only offer the more expensive all inclusive option.  We walked right up to the desk to Buy day passes.  They gave us orange wristbands.  Love your pictures!

When Royal first created the Oasis class ships they built terminal 18 in Port Everglades specifically for her knowing they would have to manage large crowds.  It's something Royal has done really well and they have since taken that experience to other ports and to other ships.

In am returning right now from Harmony of the Seas.  It was our first cruise ever!  My hubby and I took our14 year old son, and I just wanted to share his first time with the teen club, which was VERY important to us on our vacation.  The first night, there was a meet and greet in the club, and he said that it was PACKED!  The kids seemed to exchange Instagram addresses, phone numbers etc. the first night and then arrange to meet up throughout the week in groups of 5-30 kids.  He had a blast!   The kids met for lunches, dinners, Flowrider sessions, and the late night dance parties were amazing he said.  The Hush silent dance party with the headphones was the best party of his life he said.   They had games like Battle of the Sexes, which was a boys vs girls very competitive game, karaoke, and many other events.  They had an ice skating party, which required long pants, so pack those too!  My son is pretty outgoing and had no problem making lots of friends and tearfully told us this morning that he had the best week of his life........  my hubby and I felt like we had a “date” with it being just the two of us for the majority of the week, so keep that in mind parents!  To sum it up, have no fears about your teen making friends and finding lots of kids to do fun things with all week!  Have a great trip!

On our AIDA cruise from Barcelona they didn't care for our extension cord (3 wire, European plug) or our 4 wire USB charger. I'll also try to bring adapters to also use the US sockets.

One of these is from Harmony, the other Serenade.  Harmony was 2017 but Serenade was 2018.  I don't recall which is which is which.
Both state WN (Southwest) is 11:30am to 6pm.  Other airlines allow later flight times.  Southwest I've heard has a small storage area at FLL so they can't hold bags longer.  Plus Southwest when I have flown them is a stickler for the 4 hour rule not allowing bags to be checked before 4 hours prior to flight time.
Note you have to do this several days before the end of the cruise.  On Serenade I had to ask for the form.  When I saw another guest carry one into an elevator I realized my cabin attendant didn't deliver one to my cabin.
They not only checked my bags but also printed my boarding passes.  I'm elite with Delta so I get free checked bags.  This was respected and I was never charged.  This is why it has to be done several days prior - so they can validate any fees and flight times with each airline.  Even though you are on WN they have to verify flight times and the airline has to 'accept' your bags against your flight reservation days prior so it's not just about the fees or lack of.

I spoke to the folks at the internet desk on the Royal Promenade. He entered a help desk ticket and about 3 hours later two guys came in and installed a access point in one of the panels in the hallway.
I was sporting my sky class card so not sure if they do that for everyone or just because I was in a 2 bedroom grand suite.

twangster got a reaction from DocLC in Are the dining packages worth it?
I've booked a 4 night package on the 12 night Symphony TA.  In my mind I've gone back and forth on canceling it.
I used OBC to buy it .  I've prepaid gratuity and bought Voom yet still have $130 in OBC waiting for me.  For now I'm keeping the dining package because I'm not sure what else I could spend $230 in OBC on if I cancel it.
If this were not OBC 'monopoly' money I would have already cancelled.  I still might and just visit one restaurant at full price on board and sink the rest into Kraken Lavaflows and a Symphony shirt.
In my mind I have paid for a dinner.  The value of that is $15 to $20 for arguments sake.  If I have to pay an additional $45 for specialty, that is really a $60-$65 meal on land.  Would I pay that on land?   (per person)  I think not.
Two drinks per day is around $200 (beer and glass of wine).  Augment that with Diamond drinks.  A shirt?  $30.  Walk of the ship with zero balance.
That's probably how this will play out.  I'll let someone else review Hooked.

twangster got a reaction from Skid in tribute band
    Welcome to the message boards!
There is a section on this site with Cruise Compasses from past guests.  At the top you will see a link for them.  Here is a 5 night cruise back in 2016:
    https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compasses/anthem-of-the-seas/sat-2016-09-03-0000
Tribute band was DSB - Journey.  I saw the same band on Anthem in November and I enjoyed them.  That doesn't mean DSB will be the band on your cruise. I'm not sure who will be on your cruise but if this is any indication then the 5 night cruises have tribute bands just like longer cruises do.
