I cruised on Allure in August with my husband and my daughters, 17 and 15. My daughters paid an adult fare, but would not have been able to cruise without me (their parents) based on their age, as per RC policy. They had their own stateroom, which of course we paid for. In the circumstances when parents pay for their dependents in another stateroom, I wish the parents got their kids’ points.

We had the same thing. Our first cruise was a 7 night cruise in 1999, which is displayed as 1 point in the “past cruises” section of the website, but the points were translated to 15 for both my husband and I (before the cruise we just took).

On Allure, there is a yellow "floor" before a green cushioned pad. When landing, we were instructed to take 2-3 running steps in the yellow area before stopping on the green pad.

Also, when you “land” at the end of the zip line, you are taking 2-3 running steps at a fast speed before you stop, so firm soles would be important.

My husband is a stomach sleeper and found the beds on Allure firm. I had no problem with them.

Thank you!

I’m packing for my cruise on Allure this Sunday...yippee! Are running shoes required to wear on the zip line? Or would any ‘secure’ shoe work? Thanks in advance!

I’m cruising on Allure on the 26th!

I get this whenever I use my Ipad to log on. I have to wait half a day to be able to log on again with my Ipad. However, if I use my laptop or desktop PC, I have no trouble getting back on.

My kids set up an account on their own, with their own password, and linked it with their reservation #.

First time teen cruiser says......
DirktheCat replied to Blondie511's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Thanks for posting this. I’m bringing two teens on Allure in August, and I hope they enjoy the cruise as much as your son. I booked entertainment for the first night, then read about the teen meet-and-greet (likely on this site), and re-arranged the entire week’s schedule to free up this time for them. -

If I Could Save Time In A Bottle ...

Great topic and ear worm! My first cruise was on Majesty of the Seas out of San Juan in 1999. We visited Aruba, Curaçao, Antigua (as a replacement for St. Maarten, which was too damaged from a hurricane to receive visitors) and St. John. In St. John, it was so windy that all the excursions were cancelled, except ours...a helicopter ride around the island. Apparently, you need wind to fly a helicopter. It was amazing, and scary at the same time. Since then, we’ve had our 2 daughters, and it’s time to get back into cruising. All four of us will be on Allure in August.
