  1. Lets just say that I WISH that I was as slow as you guys at work, but what I will say is that passing my time here allows me to day or night dream as well, until my next cruise! I do find that the closer that I get to my next cruise the more time I spend here.....?
  2. Wife brings one every cruise, we have been on 8 at the present moment and only had an issue once, and that was because they thought that it was a power strip! Once they saw what it was they allowed it onboard and we were fine!
  3. We were there towards the end of June, if you have not been yet please do yourself a favor a go! ?
  4. All I am going to say is that it is good to be the king or the queen! Unfortunately due to me still being in school and wifey looking for her next job our cruising future is uncertain until she finds a new job. But please rest assured once she finds something and we know her schedule and are able to plan it out we will be right back on schedule!! ? If you ever see some fool doing cartwheels as he is getting onboard it will be this guy right here!???
  5. Most notable was the group cruise to Alaska, while it was the only cruse due to the wife and my school obligations it was by far the best one I have ever been on. The scenery like this was absolutely amazing! Well worth every cent and I want to go again as soon as possible!!!
  6. I have to agree that they vary, we were on a cruise on Vision of the Seas and that one had the hardest mattress we have ever had. We are both side sleepers and it was so hard that we were actually taking Benadryl to help us get to sleep. We did not know about the mattress toppers at that time but I can assure you that if we ever encounter that again we will ask! That was the one and only cruise that they we have had any issues with the beds.
  7. I would gladly take a ride on a coaster on a ship. I love coasters, and as long as it was done with some taste I would go on it in a heartbeat!
  8. Nice pictures, wish I was on any one of those ships rather than being at work right now!!!?
  9. Congratulations! Give her a belly rub and a scratch behind the ears for Fozzie Bear (the guy in my avatar ) and I!

    Holidays

Thank you @Skid! Happy Holidays to you and everyone else! Have a great New Years!!
  11. Ok savory bites definitely get my vote, I also have to add two more items, I know its simple but the Caesar salad, as well as the BBB creme brûlée! My favorites, that I have to get the first meal that we have!?
  12. Yes, credit is the way to go, as has already been stated it is best for refunds as well as a few other benefits. I would absolutely hate to imagine the outcome if someone were able to skim your debit card number while you were out to sea and did not find out soon enough! Credit is definitely the way to go!!!
  13. Our last cruise was the group cruise in June to Alaska, and while there wasn't officially a Sorrentos onboard the pizza there was actually quite a step up from what we had on Majesty in December. I am far from being a pizza snob but what I will say is that I would have gladly paid a few bucks for a reasonable slice. It was not the best that I have ever had but it was FAR from being the worst. I would say that it was right at or a slight step above a good quality frozen pizza.
  14. That’s good information right there! Thank you for sharing! I carry a 64oz YETI and that makes it a little easier at times to top it off with ice.
  15. Oh how I would love to be a Diamond with the Crown and Anchor! Currently we are at Platinum and with our cruise in March we will be at Emerald. Hopefully we will be breaking the Diamond level by the end of the year. We will both be doing cartwheels at that point!
  16. We went to Cabbage beach last year in December, prior to this trip we did and excursion through Royal where we paid $85 per adult, and $55 per child to go to the beach on Atlantis. When we got there we had a beach chair and a towel and it was the same beach that Cabbage beach is on. When we went back last Christmas and I saw the rock formations in the water I knew where we were, and I felt pretty ripped off! The beach itself is great, it cost us $16 one way for four people in a taxi, only complaint was the amount of vendors going up and down the beach. They were not rude at all, and you just had to tell them "no thank you" once and that individual would leave you alone. You could rent chairs for the whole day for a reasonable price, I would gladly go there again with the kids, did not feel pressured or harassed whatsoever!
  17. Thank you for sharing, SO sad and tragic especially for his coworkers! I know that "the show must go on" but I also know that it will be extremely hard to continue and perform with their loss!
  18. I completely agree, only problem is that common sense isn't so common anymore!?
  19. I concur with @WAAAYTOOO we did MTD once with a group and it was extremely aggravating to try and get a group of 8 together at the same time, you may be able to talk with someone and schedule a time where you may be able to get all of you in at one table. My advice is next time your best bet will be traditional dining, it did make a world of difference when we made our plans. Good luck!
  20. I tell you what, I will gladly take their place, and promise that I will not complain one bit. I guess sometimes we all forget that sometimes it is not about "us" all the time and that it is the season for kindness, and giving to others. I would have smiled and enjoyed it one bite at a time! Wish I was on a cruise right now to be able to enjoy a slice myself!!!?
  21. It’s good to be the king!!!! Enjoy and Merry Christmas!!!!
  22. That is the absolute truth, wife had a hair straightener and they confiscated our luggage because they thought that it was a power strip, we had to go downstairs and show them that it was not a power strip, once they saw what it was they let us have it and her luggage. As you have already stated on the way out there were quite a few that had to be claimed on the way out. I have found that a multi USB plug works very well and keep it packed away in my cruise luggage.
  23. Not that I was complaining before, but I have to say that after seeing what Disney offers even at the high level I will keep my mouth shut and be thankful! I am nowhere being near a Diamond Plus member with RCCL but I do enjoy the perks that I do receive. As others have stated RCI and Celebrity are pretty good, darned good article thank you for sharing!!
  24. We did a Christmas cruise last year, I have to say that I was a little worried about the same things that you are concerned over. I have to say that I would GLADLY take another! We did a four day to Nassau, and of course CocoCay and back. On Christmas day they had a special dinner, and the menu DEFINITELY was not the typical menu, food was better and absolutely amazing! I have to say that the Christmas spirit was alive and well, I was actually impressed with everything that happened on that ship! I can tell you that we will do another and the only thing holding us back from booking another is the wife is about to start a new job and we are unsure of how her vacation picks will be for the next year or so. We were on Majesty and it was just about sold out, even though it was packed it was not rushed, and it was very well done. I can assure you that once we find out how things work we will be booking another! The food on Christmas Eve wasn't any different than any other day at sea, but as stated the day of it was amazing! If you are on the fence I would highly suggest that you get off the fence and start booking!!?
  25. One thing to add, depending on the ship that you are on they will usually have pre made water in several locations, they do not want you to place your bottle under the fill station directly. They ask that you fill the cup up and pour it in your bottle so that diseases are not transmitted.
