Congratulations! Would you mind sharing what type of room you were in before and if you bid the minimum, middle, or high? Dying to hear back on mine, 6 days before sail away!

I had never seen anything like it! It was a fun way to see the space needle and we were on the same lake as the houseboat from Sleepless in Seattle! I added some photos unless anyone is interested!

@Lovetocruise2002thank you for the shout out! Marc and I always said we would do Alaska much later in life but the pandemic also gave us both a new appreciation for the outdoors as well. We went with Ovation because we were still a little on the fence about Alaska but wanted to give it a shot and wanted to also explore Seattle, both did not disappoint! I knew Ovation was going to be an amazing ship so that already felt like a win but I have to say I was blown away by the beauty of even just sailing in the inside passage alone. I knew we would see wildlife but I was truly blown away to see both Orcas and humpbacks right off the ship! We had a side balcony and it was wonderful, i am sure an aft would be even better! We found ourselves spending hours sitting in 270 with a spiked hot chocolate because the views were truly out of this world. If we do Alaska again I think I would want to do a southbound but what I will say was a highlight for us was the pre and post cruise time in Seattle! We spent 1 day prior and 2 days on the back half and I can honestly say it was one of my favorite big city trips to date. The last day of the trip we did a wine tasting tour in Woodenville and it was a blast! We also rented a hot tub boat in Lake Union and that was on of the most fun things I think we have ever done, the boat is operated by joy stick so you kind of feel like you are driving a toy boat. I could have spent another week there alone doing more wine tasting and exploring the National parks around Seattle.

Something's up.  Suites are out for all sail dates.
I've been watching a few dates as potential dates so I've been checking often.
My guess is that sales have been soft, too soft.  Combined with the news that ships might be able to sail from the US I'm left wondering if they are about to cancel Vision from Bermuda.

    Double for Suite
    Double that for 2021-22 Sailings
People trying to level up quickly
Suites on smaller ships less $$$ than larger Oasis Class...

One of the smallest number of suites of any ships in the fleet.
Balcony cabins aren't far behind in terms of quantities.
These ships hark from the era when interior and OV were the norm and balconies had recently become popular in the industry.

themillennialcruiser got a reaction from twangster in Vision from Bermuda is Open for Booking
Just booked as a potential backup if the RC blog group cruise doesn’t happen but keeping my fingers crossed! A few questions- we are really hoping to do a suite for this suite for the crown and anchor points. The suite guarantee and OV suite with no balcony for the same price. Struggling with which once to pick as there isn’t much info about the OV suite no balcony and with the suite guarantee you could end up with less perks in the junior suite. We are holding the OV suite for now while we decide. Also after booking I noticed there was a $200 credit in my email listed as below - Please note: Your cruise or Cruisetour reservation includes promotional code , with discount of 200.00 USD.
does anyone know what this means? Is there any information regarding covid testing if you are flying in early to enjoy the island?

Cinque Terre on the Jewels of Cinque Terre excursion! My husband and I did this excursion in October 2018 on our honeymoon and it was AMAZING! We visited 3 of the villages and had a beautiful Italian lunch at one. Perfection. A boat picks you up right as you get off the ship and you take the boat to each village.

Concur with @Jill that the port needs something.  Beware of high winds -- that would motivate me to stay on the ship.  Also, if you snorkel, avoid the cheap excursions that overload the small boats.  We found it difficult to enjoy because of the crowd in the water.  Have a great trip!

I am going on Navigator of the Seas next week and debating what to do in Nassau. Suggestions on what to do on land or on board are appreciated! We have been to Atlantis once before and nothing else on land looks appealing but I am open to ideas!

themillennialcruiser reacted to Melody of the Seas in First Time @ Coco Cay - What should I do?
I would say the level of entertainment from this excursion will come from how much you have been around the ocean. For me I live in Florida and own a boat so we are always in the water, so everything we saw was no different for us then being home, however the 2 guys on the boat were very entertaining, one of the guys stays in the water and picks up any sea life he comes across and brings it on the boat and passes it around while explaining in detail about that object, we tried to get around to the other side of the island to see sharks and dolphins but the water was too rough and we had to turn around sadly.  I attached a video of part of the trip, LOTS of fish to be seen!  All in all we had a good time, it was nice being out on the water,  for the price I do recommend!

I would suggest finding some chairs and relaxing on the beach. Rent some snorkel gear and do that for a while, get some food, drinks and just enjoy the day and explore the island. If you are with a group of people, you could consider a cabana to use as a home base (assuming they aren't sold out, or ridiculously expensive) sometimes this close to sailing the price of the water park cabanas can be a good value since passes are included. (they were 299 for my sailing).
    Enjoy the cruise!
