  1. Pretty sure that is a yes, I know I've seen people with chips and salsa before, just don't know if they went and got it from the restaurant or if it was brought to them.
  2. @Glo look at where you are cruising out of, if Miami, price tickets going to Fort Lauderdale and then taking a car down to Miami, that is what I have done recently to keep my airfare cost down. Also look at combinations of flying in to FLL and out of Miami or the opposite. I have to fly to almost all cruise ports, and my cheapest airfare recently was flying in to Newark for an Anthem cruise and my most expensive ticket is flying in to Orlando for a Harmony cruise. For those asking about @Ray I know from other post that he fly's in to NY, so that his wife can shop.
  3. This was posted on the Royal Caribbean blog page in April, so it should still be fairly current. The new app is available on these ships: Adventure of the Seas Allure of the Seas Brilliance of the Seas Enchantment of the Seas Harmony of the Seas Independence of the Seas Liberty of the Seas Majesty of the Seas Mariner of the Seas Navigator of the Seas Oasis of the Seas Serenade of the Seas Symphony of the Seas Vision of the Seas
  4. I have never had this experience in FLL, the porters are usually very friendly and helpful. I've cruised out of FLL 5-6 times. I usually give a curtesy tip of $2 per bag that I expect the porters to handle, which for me is 2 suit cases, so I tip $4-5. Pinging @tonyfsu21 , ever hear this?
  5. I used to be, still find myself going over there and looking at the roll calls and such, but not as often anymore.
  6. Pinging @Jolly Ogre for additional input.
  7. Was just there in July, I didn't kayak but watched them later in the day from our balcony, they left from the side of the island that the ship is docked on and yes the water is clear. Sorry didn't see where they went.
  8. Just send a PM with the link.
  9. You might start out by reading this semi live blog Then you can start asking questions, several of us on this blog have cruised Star Class.
  10. Look to the left, 5 gallon container of vanilla ice cream, looks like to me anyway.
  11. It's as soon as you walk in to the spa on deck 6 on the right, can't miss it.
  12. @WedNoMor Welcome, this site is more if there is something that you want to know about something specific to Royal or a ship, dinning room etc., ask a question and read the comments suggestions that will be returned. Can't decide on a specific cruise, give us some general guidelines and there is a good chance someone has been on the itinerary before.
  13. Actually just wanted to see your response. We all know how much you love WJ, especially breakfast on a sea day, Yaaa!
  14. Yea, even though it's supposed to be My Time Dinning, which basically means you should be able to walk up anytime and ask for a table, it helps on wait times if you have a reservation that you can fall back on if needed.
  15. Go in to the cruise planner and make the reservations that you can, if some of the times are not great adjust these when you get on board the first day, do this first. Go directly to the MDR and there will be people to help you. The MTD restaurant is the same restaurant as the Main Dinning Room (MDR), the MDR is usually 3 floors tall, depending on the ship the MTD will either be on the bottom floor or the top floor, but it will be the same through out your cruise.
  16. If you go and do WJ reconnaissance every night, @Matt , you will notice that WJ has a different theme every night, this is also carried out some what during the day also, but I'm not the master, Matt is. My last cruise everyone on the Anthem GC was doing a reconnaissance for Mongolian night for a certain individual @Lovetocruise2002.
  17. To me the towel policy is no big thing, you go get a towel, you take a towel back. But I'm also not a chair hog, if we are going to go get something to eat, I turn my towels in, go get lunch, comeback and get a new towel. I definitely won't stress about it.
  18. The Royal IQ app doesn't work until you are connected to the ships wifi, for Anthem I went ahead and printed my Set Sail pass to have, but if I remember correctly they didn't even look at them at check in, just took our Passports and checked us in, they didn't like my Wife's photo that I had loaded so they had to take another. Truthfully once I boarded I forgot all about the APP so I can't really tell you anymore about it.
  19. This is the way to go and as @melski94 says you can be charging your iPad or iPhone at the same time so you are not wasting a plug, I also bring a USB charging block so that I can have 6 things plugged in at once and charging them. @melmar02 and @CarlaB , neither of you have said what ship, just realize that the newer ships are more likely to have built in USB plugs as well as 110v plugs. Bringing a sound machine takes up suite case space as well as they may not be allowed, so the APP is guarantied to be available, as @USCG Teacher says, the free APP is really all you need.
  20. I just went from Diamond to Diamond+ and I think it is worth it.
  21. Go to cruisedeckplans.com and see if that helps with some of your questions, I think there is another one called cruise mapper, the deck plans are definitely there, I don't know for sure if all of the venues (Bars and restaurants) are though.
  22. 1. Chops Grill 2. Jamie's Italian 3. Sabor 4. Chefs table 5. Izumi Hibachi 6. 150 CP 7. Coastal Kitchen 8. Vintages 9. Izumi Sushi 10. Solarium Bistro 11. Wonderland These are the Specialty restaurants I have documented for my Harmony cruise.
