Yes, I've done it many times.

There's no penalty, but Royal no longer gives you double Crown and Anchor points if you cruise solo with a no-show.

I don't know if it's related to the sale or not, but the price for CocoCay cabanas for my Mariner of the Seas Jan 1 cruise fell to pre-pandemic prices

I would point out that's to entice business travel, which is the top way hotels and airlines make money. Cruise ship travel doesn't have much of a business component.

It's interesting you bring this up, because I believe Royal has dropped celeb chefs and/or branded deals like this because they feel they can do it just as good on their own (food wise, not necessarily marketing).

When Royal dropped Dreamworks, they said something to the effect that they have developed enough of their in-house entertainment to not have to rely on a third-party.

If you buy one device, then only one device at a time can be online. 

So yes, all 4 of you can share it, but you'll have to sign in and out to allow one of the four of you on.
