Bingo

Yeesh, they're really designing those tiers to push people up into the highest price ranges. Assuming everyone who looks at that does the quick mental math, it's super-easy to see you make your price per chance the lowest by buying the $69 option. Even doing the not so quick real math, it's still painfully obvious you don't want to spend less than $59 to make the price per chance in line with a state lottery or Powerball ticket.

  • $39 for 3 = $13 per chance
  • $49 for 6 = $8.16 per
  • $59 for 21 total = $2.80 per
  • $69 for 42 total = $1.64 per

Problem being, from everything I've read here from people who did try out the Bingo, it doesn't make your actual odds of winning any better to get those big packages, as the odds seem to pretty clearly be Powerball level slim even when you have all those dozens of chances.

Yep. RCL BINGO is pretty expensive but every once in a while you get lucky. Two cruises ago, I won the "Free Cruise for Two" final bingo of the cruise. I used that (with an upgrade I paid for) to get a nice nine day cruise to the Southern Caribbean this past January. Of course, I played bingo on that cruise and didn't win a thing - not even their little pull tabs.  Oh well. You win some and lose a lot more!

This is true. My wife & I always go the "cheap" route ($39). On Rhapsody in 2017, I ended up one number away from the free cruise!

Great info as I will be going in a few weeks.  How many times does bingo get played so I can estimate how much money to bring for it?  Should I bring my own dauber or do they require you to buy one of theirs?

It will be charged to your account, they won't take cash, if that makes a difference.

We actually won the free cruise!  On Quantum in 2015.  Very restricted as to when and how you use it...was a real pain to schedule.  We won't play that bingo round again.

We find that Bingo or buying a lottery ticket at the casino have about the same odds.  $ 39.00 can buy a lot of lottery tickets or play a lot of slots for a dollar each.  The slots have paid us a nice return on our investments in them over the years.  Can`t say the same for the cruise or power ball lotteries. LOL
