PG Cruiser
I've only used my passport so I haven't paid attention to the other options. I didn't realize there were a lot of them. Cactus527 and tingtang 1
PG Cruiser
Has anyone used a Passport Card? It appears it can stand alone as ID for the cruise. (I know it cannot be used for air travel in case of an emergency.) RCIfan1912

Elania
I've only been on one cruise, but I took both a regular passport and a passport card with me. When the Cruise Compass recommended leaving the passport in my room instead of taking it on a shore excursion, I took the card with me instead. I'm not sure if that's the best practice or not, but it gave me extra peace of mind to have a secondary ID.
Fuzzywuzzy
There is a reason that Passport is at the top of the list.
Pattycruise
I imagine It will depend on where the cruise goes to. for Columbia we all needed Passports. google Honduras and it looks like the card is not enough. definitely not good enough for Europe. amanalo217
I take passport book and card with me. I take the book with me on excursions in case something happens and need to fly from there and have the card in safe since I can use it to get back in country if book lost. I was going to try it for myself for an upcoming cruise, but I’ll just take your word for it.
