LovetoCruise87
Great pics!! Amazing that they can land that at just about center every time. I love it when the booster lands back at the Cape, get great views from my house.
WAAAYTOOO
That booster rocket and its barge are filthy ! It all needs a good scrubbin' . LOL coneyraven and twangster
Atlantix2000
Given its height, I'm surprised they don't attach some cables for stability before towing it home. Imagine having the technical capability of landing upright on a barge but losing it to an inconvenient wave!

Imagine having the technical capability of landing upright on a barge but losing it to an inconvenient wave! That white base underneath has something to do with attaching it to the deck. Those wires and cables would not survive the heat from landing and there is a door near the deck that opens and allows it to move over and do it's work. I highly doubt they will lose it and you also don't want some guy who just runs a tug or is a deckhand throwing cables and chains over wherever on something you want to keep sending into space over and over again. The device is called the Octagrabber. So they're obviously not treating the booster like a guy holding onto a mattress with one arm while driving! https://spacexfleet.com/Octagrabber FireFishII and Atlantix2000 1
