Mark B
On the formal nights in the MDR, what is the attire for the specialty restaurants like Giovanni's and Choops?
MaryCS62
Same as it is any other night -- we prefer go with smart casual for both -- long pants & a polo shirt or button down dress shirt, ( for men, dress or dressy slacks for women Mark B
Mark B
Thanks! Might do that and avoid the MDR those nights so I don't have to wear a coat and tie! Baked Alaska

You know you don't have to wear a coat and tie to the MDR either, right? Formal nights are only as formal as you make them. There will still be people in shorts and t-shirts in the MDR. mworkman
We ate at Chops last night, which was formal night all attire was suits to slacks and collared shirt. Mark B and Dan Curtis
DDemuth
Dress code is pretty lax at all venues on formal nights. Some in tux and gown, many in suits or business casual. Just don't show up in your Speedo and sun glasses. Mark B, Dan Curtis and RWDW1204
ChrisK2793
We were just on Oasis for Thanksgiving week ........ even on the 2 formal nights, there were people in the specialty restaurants with nicer shorts and polo shirts on. It was the same when we were on Symphony in September. You don’t have to get all dressed up anywhere on formal nights if you don’t want to. Stevo B
Recently did the Voyager from Singapore to Sydney and we did Giovannis for lunch and wear your best formal night. Lunch was shorts and a polo shirts did see singlets in there as well. On the Formal.....(wear your best) I saw shorts t shirts polos dress shirts trousers and jackets. As formal was designated wear your best, then people wore their best I guess.

For some, that's inappropriate attire anywhere on the ship. Even the pools.
Dolphingirl
We were just on Anthem 2 weeks ago and the dress code was lax to say the least. I wore black pants and a nice top and my husband wore dockers and a nice shirt. We didn't dress up fancy for formal night or for the specialty restaurant.
