Inspired by a blog post the other day, I checked out RCI Vancouver to Hawaii. I know the ship is required to have at least one foreign port on its itinerary, but do we? On Ovation Of The Seas, it starts in Vancouver, but its next port is Seattle. Is it possible to embark in Seattle

You cannot embark in Seattle and end in Hawaii that is a violation of the PVSA.

They move the ship to Vancouver exactly for this reason.  Since the ship embarks in a foreign country (Canada) it can stop in Seattle and end in Hawaii.

It's easy to get from Seattle to Vancouver so I wouldn't let the Canadian embarkation change your mind.

Highly doubtful

I would highly recommend one of these repositioning cruises.  We did one a few years ago (Ensenada MX to HI).  It was a really good value.  We had to check-in in San Diego and then bus to Ensenada.

Separate question. I am ready to post a review for our Adventure Of The Seas Snowbird cruise, but don't sea a place to do that. What is the procedure?

As @Lovetocruise2002 suggested, post in the Live Blog section.

The review is posted on LoveToCruise. We are now officially Diamond members! Unfortunately, our next 2 cruises are not RCI.

It's a fantastic review but unfortunately only I can view it at the moment.  I sent you a PM on how to move it over to the "Live Blog" section. ?

If you have time you can take the Amtrak Cascades train to Vancouver. Just beware that if it has been raining there's a good chance of a mudslide on the tracks. Amtrak will shutdown service for 2 days to be sure the hillside has stabilized.

Train is from Seattle, yes? Looking to do something like this when we come to Seattle before the cruise.

We did Vancouver to Seattle after our cruise to fly home out of Seattle on Amtrak.  Really enjoyed the train ride!  Goes along the coast and we saw great scenery..eagles flying along side the train, etc.  Very relaxing way to go and super easy to navigate.

Yes, it goes from the King street station all the way to Vancouver B.C.

Since you like planes there's the Boeing Tour in Everett, it's where the 777, 767, KC 46 Tanker, 747 and 787 are built. It's a history of Boeing and a tour of the factory.

For an aerial view there's  Kenmore Air. It's a Beaver float plane that flys from Vancouver B.C downtown to Lake Union.
