I hope so.  It pains me when new cruisers and/or those new to RC want to go on Enchantment or Majesty first.  There's nothing wrong with them, per se, but they aren't glowing examples of the best RC offers.

Depending on when you are traveling, the areas of Provence are beautiful. The Luberon region is one of my favorites.

@bobroo - you inspired me to add some pictures, too! We spent four nights in Marseille precruise and really enjoyed our time there.

I agree that this is the most convenient/sane option. Although to be honest, it's been years since I've done breakfast on disembarkation morning as it's usually just not worth the hassle with everything else going on, so we usually skip it and grab something off ship instead. The exception has been Disney as they have fixed breakfast seating in the morning and Holland America as they have room service breakfast on disembarkation morning. We cheated on Princess with room service breakfast as we disembarked a day early, so we were able to order it then, too.

The business class to Barcelona was nice, we were on an AA 777 with lay flat seats, we took off from Charlotte at about 8 in the evening, had dinner watched a movie and then changed in to clothes to sleep in, I normally can't sleep on a plane either, but we had left our house about 8am, so I took a little Melatonin for sleep and the next thing I knew it was 7am the next morning and we were getting close to Barcelona.
Coming back we were flying during the day, I didn't sleep, figured I could handle it, by the time we hit DFW I was dead on my feet, will not make that mistake again.

We did business class to Paris in January and I was hoping to get some sleep. Unfortunately, it's just something I can't seem to do on planes. So while it was nice, especially having access to the lounge before the flight, I've decided that I'll save the money for now and cruise more often.

The real issue with Bermuda is, it's bigger than you think ..... once you fall in love with the island, which you will, you will want to see the whole thing (with a Rum Swizzle in hand).
Horseshoe Bay is as stunning as they say, there's tons to see and do around dock area.  That one picture of the building with the two clock towers is the Clock Tower Mall.
When we go back in October, we're dedicating the full day there to St. George....it's the one part of the island we haven't made it to.
Bermuda is incredibly easy to get around in .... especially with the famous Pink Buses

Instead of going into something wordy, here are a few pictures ....

All are good options and I actually have 1 and 3 booked myself.
I would do 1 for the ship, but 3 for the itinerary. We may actually cancel our Anthem cruise simply because 1 day in Bermuda simply isn't enough. I really wish they'd overnight there a skip the Bahamas.
Option 2 is good for a classic ship and ease of boarding/convenience of port, but I still think 3 is the best of the 3.

I would at least check the Air2Sea part of Royal Caribbean, they got my tickets to Europe cheaper than i could get them.

Actually, it is very similar to deportation because if you don't disembark they will force you off the ship. :)

I've been using Michelle at MEI, but have also been handling my own airfare. I've been quite lucky with Europe ($550 r/t to Paris in January and $608 r/t to London this summer), but the airfare is expensive to Sydney. Princess, however, has special fares where you can reserve "flexible" tickets that can be canceled without penalty and don't require payment until final payment for the cruise, so that's what we've done. Even with their discounted air, which is cheaper than what I can find on my own, we're still looking at spending more on airfare than the cruise and about double what we spend going to Europe.
  24. Wow
DocLC got a reaction from JLMoran in Need Help! Cruising in Australia March 2019.
We booked them right when they became available, a little more than 300 days out. However, we were able to book "flexible" airfare through the cruise line we're on, so we can cancel up until final payment without any penalty; that's also when payment for the flights is do.
I wouldn't say we got a deal, but we did opt for nonstop flights as all of the connecting flights just made the trip too long. We're also traveling during the holidays, so that may have affected prices. For economy on Quantus, we're paying $1750 r/t per person.
