  1. Totally agree with @JLMoran. If you drink anything other than coffee, the refreshment package is the way to go as it is unlimited. And very likely that between now and your cruise, it will go down a bit from $26/day at some point.
  2. @Joe01...is Tim Connor on social media at all? I'm really curious as to if his contract on Indy (starting next week) is 2 or 4 months. I have not been able find him on social media.
  3. @rjac just saw on the news that New Bern, NC got hit pretty hard. Thinking of you as I know that is where you are from....
  4. It is $60/day on my March 2019 Harmony sailing. Prices will vary depending on sailing. It is not standard. And they will go up and down. Purchase when it is at a price that you can handle. Then check regularly for sales and re-price if it goes cheaper. Usually you will see sales closer (3-4 months out) to the sailing. Black Friday sometimes has the best sale.
  5. September is always the busiest for me. It should be better in a few weeks. I've been blessed with an awesome group of tweens/teens this year.
  6. You can't make sense of it. The "percent off" is a reflection of the on board pricing. And the drink prices fluctuate all the time. Your best bet is to purchase at a price you see as doable, and then keep checking and re-price if it goes lower.
  7. It will be cold. Count on two days there and back of cooler weather.
  8. @Boston Babe....I've been waiting all week to find out....How was it??
  9. When we were on Mariner, the Casino was open when we were in Coco Cay. I only know because I was asked to leave it while scoping lol.
  10. Your best bet might be Black Friday. We have found that while cruising in the high seasons (March and summer), Black Friday usually nets us the best deals.
  11. Thanks for the heads up @Orange Crush!! I just grabbed it for Anthem GC, and Symphony July 2019! Same, $11.99 1 device. I bought the 2 device plan for $22.98. Great deal.
  12. Not that I would ever consider a train (especially with my kids) but is the Brightline a lot cheaper than Uber/Lyft? Just curious...
  13. Loved it! Even though it wasn't live. Beautiful pics as always. And looks like you've done it again with getting others to pull out their wallets ? Thank you @twangster for once again taking the time.
  14. @rjac let us know how you and your family are doing. I've been thinking about you a lot too this morning while listening to the news.
  15. Go with what @tonyfsu21 is saying...he's a local. He knows what he is talking about when it comes to that area. He has yet to steer me wrong. ? It's an adventure when we venture out of our igloos from Canada ?
  16. The ride share waiting area at FLL is in between terminal buildings. The wifi won't hold. I would not rely on wifi for that. If the driver tries to contact you at any point, you will miss it because of where you wait. IMO, Data is a must when doing ride share at FLL.
  17. You have to cross a bridge to get to the port so not really walkable. And even after you cross the bridge, there's is still some driving to get to the terminal. The holiday inn across from bayside marketplace is about 5min from the port. Intercontinental is less than 10. Both are super convenient locations. We just started using ride sharing services recently after a few bad experiences with taxi drivers in Florida. When we travel, I just add a travel plan to my phone so I can have data to do ride share. I find it is worth it for the lower rates and better experience.
  18. I would Uber/Lyft it. We just did that in August. Flew to FLL to sail Mariner out of MIA. We paid about $75 each way but was for an XL for 4 of us. For just two, a regular Uber/Lyft would probably be about half the price. Check rideguru for an estimate. And I completely love Intercontinental Miami. There's also Holiday Inn right across from Bayside Marketplace (minutes from POM). Hotels in Brickell are also quite popular. Hampton Inn and Suites in Brickell is fairly new and has good reviews.
  19. I would let your Genie take care of all cabana rentals for you.
