  1. This is our itinerary next July on Adventure! Following along closely. It will be our first Canada/NE cruise.
  2. It shows up online when it is available. I've seen it online a few times when doing my price checks. When we booked ours, I saw it online and called right away.
  3. I will admit that it varies slightly depending on who the chef is. In all our CK experiences, Symphony stands out as the one the was just mediocre. The rest were fantastic. Overall, we have had more positive experiences than poor ones. And to be fair, Symphony came just two weeks after our 9 nights on board Anthem (where we also dined exclusively in CK) so we "may have" been a bit tired of cruise food by that point.
  4. You all know that I am 100% Team CK. I agree with everything that @JLMoran mentioned above. Having done specialty and CK, I feel that food quality is slightly better in CK. And to add to what @STANMELB mentioned, I would prefer to spend my money in a full suite rather than get a balcony/ocean view/inside cabin and pay extra for specialty. I also feel that the service in CK is more personalized and attentive compared to specialty. Add in the ambiance (especially on Oasis class ships) and CK is the clear winner. When sailing in a full suite, we never do specialty. CK is more than enough for us. We never feel like we are missing out on specialty because most things you can get in specialty, you can get in CK. The only time we have done specialty in when not in a full suite or when we sailed star class.
  5. Funny how these things work. For the same sailing, my prices have gone nothing but up since booking.
  6. They would just charge you for the shot of rum. I think that is $7.95 plus 18%.
  7. As @Matt always says, it could be anytime that week and you have to be on high alert that week. ?
  8. For sailings up to Spring 2022. If you are looking past that, you might have to wait another year. I would not wait for your TA. For that suite, I was on the phone the day bookings were released. I then later transferred it to my TA. That suite is the first to go out of the star class cabins.
  9. We have this suite booked for December 2020. At the time initial booking we had our family of 4 because the rest of my family needed time to decide. We were able to grab it with just the 4 of us. A day or two later, we added on my parents and sister and her family. A few weeks later, we added on my other sister and her family. I would advise that you grab this cabin upon release as it is the only one of this size on the ship.
  10. @raahc too add to what @JLMoran said, you will not always lose the OBC in a price adjustment. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. It depends on the promo.
  11. I think with Royal Up it's anyone's guess. The trend though seems to be that more non-suite upgraded are granted vs. suites. No harm in trying though. Good luck. For the second question, I'm assuming they would handle it like Navigator. I cannot remember the details, but someone here will but I think it was future cruise credit and a refund of your cruise fare. It was a generous offer. That is what I remember from it.
  12. Sunil is awesome! We have didn’t have him as our genie but I have heard nothing but the best about him. In July, on Symphony, we met him, we were just Sky that sailing and he always made time to say hi and check in on us. Totally uncalled for but it spoke volumes of his character when he did that. I think you are in great hands. He is such a personable guy.
  13. As of April 2021, Allure is in Miami. Not sure where she will go after that.
  14. I am not sure if it has ever been done but if you look at the literature, it does somewhat imply that they could. I have never heard of anyone actually doing this though.
  15. Curious...is that the cruise director in the blue shirt in the first few pics? And does he speak Mandarin or are they using predominantly English?
  16. That's what we did in March. When we do the Villa I am not sure what we will do with that since we have so many more people.
  17. Phew! To finally take the heat off me! ? Following for sure. I feel like we have been on this journey with you for a while now. ? We booked ours upon release. They are usually one of the first ones to go for obvious reasons. I thought it was going to be crazy expensive but after re-pricing several times, it is turning out to be one of the best deals ever in Star Class!
  18. I am not aware that there is one. However, @Rob&Ana if you find out there is, please let us know. I would love to be able to use one!
  19. Bucket list cruise for us too! Thanks for sharing it. ?
  20. Awesome blog! I really enjoyed following along, especially the little surprises that you had for your kids. Your photo with your son on the bag made me laugh. We have one just like that from three years ago, except it was at Hollywood Studios while waiting for the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular.
  21. @twangster, I've been meaning to ask, were all your excursions done through RC? Or did you do private?
  22. Just remember that the muster drill will be shortly after that. You would be going straight from your massage to muster. Two very different experiences lol, especially if your station is at the Aqua Theater.
  23. I have the best news to share this time! I saved over $3000 on two star classing sailings today! Both I had originally booked at BOGO60 so the new 30% sale is comparable. For my Oasis sailing in March, I added on my daughter (long story on why I left her off in the first place) and saved more money on top of that! So basically we added and payed even less! For my Villa suite on Harmony, we already snagged a fantastic deal to start last December and then it sweetened with KSF back in August. Now, it's still KSF and the price dropped even lower. Saving another $1700 on that one which brings our per person cost on that room to less than $1K pp. Sales most often don't work out but just another example of how it pays to monitor and track prices. Eventually, something comes along that makes it all worthwhile. And these are both sold out cabins so you can re-price sold out cabins.
  24. Yes, just the two of us. It's a spa junior suite right? That's what we booked. Any chance you could get photo of the balcony?
