To the last FOUR people who replied,  I totally agree with everything you say.  Now, I totally can't remember if the Bionic Bar included the 18% gratuity but if it does, what a slap in the face.  At least it doesn't hand you a receipt requesting more tip!  lol
Anyway, I know on this blog we have many good opinions to how RCCL could improve on somethings but when we step on board (which happens to be in 17 days on the Freedom for Turkey Day) we forget about the "problems" 

For example, just logged into C&A under Crown & Anchor Society Exclusive Rates got a price of 189 for a Majesty sailing on 1/4/19.  Went on web site not signing in, Guess What!.  Same Price

Two times the parade was being shown on the big screen by the pool.  And one time we watch it in our stateroom.

We will be boarding the Freedom on 11/19 for our 6th Turkey Day cruise and my family and I have seen and watched at least three times the Thanksgiving Day parade, specifically, Macy's.  It was nice to have a piece of tradition from the States on a cruise.  

Oh that is a good one!!!!!!  Or when you are in the way back of the elevator and it stops on your deck and say excuse me very politely and they don't MOVE!!!!!

Do we are very diplomatic in the Rafalski Household, so we let our daughter pick what deck and staterooms for this voyage.  We gave her this opportunity because her brother has been able to celebrate his birthday now on two cruises since it is four days after Christmas.  Thought this would be a nice perk for her.  Oh, so we will be sailing on Deck 7 staterooms 7288, 7290 and 7291.

In my opinion it's arrogant, irresponsible and concerning that ANY cruise line would not recognize if a person does not drink alcohol or maybe a recovering one, force them to buy an alcohol package.  It blows my mind that they can not find a reasonable solution to this matter. Oh wait, they don't care!

I personally think that "Cats" does not fit well with the vibe of the Oasis.  At least, Mamma Mia, has music that gets you into a good mood and I think more age groups would like it better.  Just my opinion

So I was wondering if I could get some insight to this question.  So I logged into my C&A account went to "special offers", "exclusive rates", "see cruises" and a three night cruise on the Majesty for sailing date 12/14/2018 is showing $189 for interior.  Then I went to rccl.com as a Joe schmo and the same rate was available.  Am I missing a step to get the "Special Rate" ?  One would think after you sign in that the system would recognize you are C&A and populate the special rate.  Another question, this is the system that took over the pamphlet you would get in the mail for C&A showing the "special rates" right?

I think it's a win win for the consumer and RCCL.  The consumer can experience on an shorter cruise a larger ship with some of the bells and whistles the larger ships have, an RCCL can pull more people into longer cruising.
 

I know, that's what's great about this forum, it puts your mind at ease when you read other people have the same ideas and opinions as you.  I highly doubt anything on this forum will change the minds over at 1050 Caribbean Way!    So with that being said, I GIVE, I SURRENDER !!!  

It would be interesting to see a list that shows over the past two years how much RCCL has taken away or modified that affects the consumer?   The next thing they will re implement is the rule related to the alcohol package.  I don't know how they can legally make someone purchase a service that goes against their belief.  Trust me I get it, like the saying goes, one or two people ruin it for others, but RCCL should be able to come up with a system that accommodates this problem.  

People who don't take the guest assembly drill seriously like the same people who don't pay attention during the safety instructions on a airplane!!!

First of all, my children are now 12 and 16 and my wife and I have had and will continue to have great moments where we teach our children things in life.  I guess we are now a society where parenting is something we pawn off to other people.  I know what some people might think "some parents would not know how to teach children to swim or maybe they can't swim" but why would you wait to teach them on a cruise.  Oh I know, so that the kids would be in swim lessons for half of the day and adventure ocean for the other half.  

Have been on both and the only two things I can think of is that Indy has Sorrento's and the Wipe out bar.  And the Navi is smaller.  I am sure this blog will point out to me and you more if I missed any.  lol  I love them both.

I totally agree with you.  They should at least consider not charging certain levels of the crown and anchor program.  Nickle and Dimming Everything.

The 70 per person is labeled "Group Instructional Lesson"
We "rent out" the flow rider for 345 for an hour, which is not per person.  It does not include any instruction, you need to be able to load yourself.  The price goes up if you need instruction (imagine that but heck they are starting rent coffee makers, really ?)

I get two things from this:
1-No matter which way you try to look at, spin it or try to figure out what is best, RCCL will always have  you by the balls.
2-The cruise industry in my OPINION is getting ideas from the airline industry of ways of charging you for everything.  These are extremely different types of beast and should not be grouped together.  They better be careful as I always seek out flights FIRST on Southwest because they don't nickle and dime you.  Once again my OPINION.
