No such thing as overzealous when it comes to cruising.  I've got 7 on the calendar now (one of which I need to cancel, but still...).  Got one on sunday, then one in February, april, may, September, and next april.  Keep at it, man.

PocketsRN got a reaction from EmersonNZ in How often do you check cruise planner?
Forget the cruise planner, I'm on looking through the schedule 2-3 times a day.  I've even started going through it ship by ship and port by port, looking first for ships I haven't been on or places i haven't been to, then going back to the good ol' Bahamas and Cozumel routes I've done so many times already.  Anything I come across that jives with my work schedule and I think might be a good deal (or even relatively so), I'll go all the way to the end of the booking process just to see what the total's gonna be.  Luckily, only twice so far have I found a good one and completed the booking.  A few nights ago I did this for a coworker, but then almost completed the booking for myself when I realized it was for the same day I come back on that same ship, and that I had put in for a couple extra days off when I got back (yay!  Surprise b2b!).  Then I remembered I had cancelled those days because pretty much the whole staff had requested them off, too, and I was not happy.  Last time my cruisin' schedule takes one for the team!

And don't get overly excited when they start announcing release dates.  You can expect them to be delayed a few times.  The 2018/19 schedules that were released this year I'm pretty sure were initially supposed to be released in January, but didn't start coming out til March, and it took til June to finally get the Australia/south Pacific schedule I was chomping at the bit for.

    Today on Facebook...
    2018/19 Season Revealed
Our 2018-2019 Australasian season will see favourites Ovation of the Seas®, Explorer of the Seas® and Radiance of the Seas® return, offering a variety of itineraries sailing throughout Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, French Polynesia, Asia and North America.
Ovation of the Seas® returns for her biggest season yet offering even more opportunities to experience Australia’s newest, most imaginative holiday experience. Unfortunately we bid a fond farewell to Voyager of the Seas® as she will be redeployed to Asia for a year round season. In a first for us, we will offer one departure from Melbourne on Radiance of the Seas®, and even more departures in Auckland to both Melbourne and Sydney.
2018/2019 Season Cruises will go on sale 16 May.
So one sailing from Melbourne, plus several stops there.
    And no more Voyager.

Anyone have an idea when they're gonna be releasing the new South Pacific itineraries?  I figured they would've been included with the Australia dates last week, but they didn't.

Yup. Addictive as hell, too. Royal's have $100 bundles, but I heard Carnival has 'em with $500. Might have to jump on a carnival boat once just to see.

Tell them you just found out you ARE pregnant. Otherwise they might just say hold off on trying til after the cruise.

I saw a headline on Twitter from Fox News declaring that "Majesty passengers were stranded," or something very similar.  "Stranded" seems to be a bit of a stretch since you're on a functioning cruise ship.

Reports indicate that passengers could leave with full refund or stay and get a 25% onboard credit for the missed day and 25% in a future cruise credit.  Even though this shouldn't have happened in my mind (I really hope they figure out what went wrong internally), I do think this is fair compensation especially given that the cruise contract is so liberal.  Royal could scrap the whole itinerary and their not obligated to refund a dime under the contract that we all agree to when we book.

Not knocking triumph, just a sarcastic reference to that one incident. With some of the complaints I was reading, you'd think it really was something that dramatic.

Just wondering how it works with having drinks preloaded on your sea pass card. Got this unexpectedly on my cruise a few months agof, but the one drink I got, I still got charged for. Is there something you have to do to activate or use it?
Also, is it just like a grand suite and above thing, or is it tied into C&A benefits at all?

Stuck in port or not, still beats being at work. Have a few drinks, chill in the viking crown, have a few drinks, load up in the windjammer, have a few drinks, enjoy some live tunes or a show, and have a few more drinks.
