My mom put a watch on my wrist and said if you want to see the outside of the cabin for the rest of the cruise you will check in on very specific intervals. It worked very well!

FloatMe got a reaction from Neesa in Hump Staterooms - comments or pictures?
We were just in a hump JS on Allure and the balcony was notably deeper. Suprisingly I did not get a good photo, but here is a shot from our balcony, and the "hump" is all additional balcony space which made it deep enough to have a full lounger ( layer out) perpendicular to the ship

Thanks, Matt.  Going to do my best.  25 ships and only 4 more on order...should be cake.

FloatMe reacted to KathyC in C & A discount
This is where the benefit of using a Travel Agent comes into play.  A good agent will look at both prices, with and without your C&A discount, and either present them both for you to choose or just book you at the best price.  I'm a big do-it-yourselfer too, but since it costs me nothing to use a TA, I'm happy to let them handle all that for me.  They are the experts!

The only times I see it discounted is if you purchase the Soda and Voom wifi combo package.

For (2), the lowest price I’ve seen is $18 pp/pd.
If you find it for that price at any point in time, snag it!

Just off the Navigator 9-nt a couple weeks ago.  Second time in 9 months for this ship/itinerary combo.  Navigator has always been fantastic and this itinerary is fantastic.  You will not be disappointed!

This is a great question and honestly not one I've run across.
Thinking back, there have been times that I've seen tip jars out but many times that I've not (I tend to snoop around the wheelhouse as I still have the curiosity of an 8 year old "ohhh, boat!").

FloatMe reacted to Lovetocruise2002 in You know you are addicted to cruises with Royal Caribbean when :
When you check these boards constantly because if you can't go on an RC cruise then at least you can discuss one and it helps with the addiction.

We just stayed there for the cruise we were just on and I agree that it is very convenient.  our only issues were that the check in seemed to take too long (maybe we were just tired) and that the water pressure in the shower was non-existent. We will be staying there in April for our Harmony Cruise.

More art from the aft elevator bank.  Very fitting for the Freedom of the Seas and since we sailed on 11/11.
Many thanks to all veterans and active service personnel including their families!

And a shout out to a Periscoper @FloatMe I presume... I'm also on deck 10.

Lastly you never know what interesting aquatic life you'll see in the middle of the Caribbean Sea:

That's Harmony of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world!  She was with us on day 1 in Port Everglades.   Now we are trading destinations as she heads to Cozumel and we head to Jamaica.  I sailed on her in September and she is a great ship!

Fantastic blog! I Love the pictures. I believe  I saw you taking the photos up on deck 12 yesterday as I was running on the track before sunrise. We should do quick RCblog meet up somewhere on the ship.

Navigator, primarily because it has Sabor and a few other updates, and it's likely to be cheaper and offer a more varied itinerary.

These are the cases of soda (w/luggage tags) delivered with the rest of our luggage to our stateroom on Allure. We are 4 for 4. That being said, I have stopped doing this (as of our las cruise in April). We always get the soda package so the soda we brought on board was so we didn't have to find a bar late after returning to our cabin or 1st thing in the morning. After doing the Math I probably save about $26 for me & $20 for my wife and that doesn't include the cost of an Uber if our hotel isn't close to a grocery store. We finally decided the extra hassle, luggage & weight isn't worth the savings. We now have our state room attendant bring us 6 at a time to keep in the fridge.

I'll throw one more on the pile and say there are never enough hangers in any stateroom of any ship I've sailed (we hang most of our clothes).  I just ask for extra hangers and it's never been an issue - no sense in packing them IMO.

I like my cruise dinner conversation to be light, sans politics, and personal. I have a host of intellectuals and historical figures that I would love to have dinner with, just not on a cruise.
