michelle got a reaction from markinct in Rotational Dinning
GOT this from webinar today with Vicki Freed -
The Quantum is keeping Dynamic Dining as is - since its moving to Asia, no plans to change it at all
Anthem will have both Dynamic and Classic - you should be able to select which one you want from your
cruise planner soon - CLASSIC dining will rotate - your table number will be the same each place
you go and your server and table guests will rotate with you each night = figured pre-paid gratuities
will be added either way with these plans too
No plans yet to roll to Allure or Oasis yet at all - they want to try it on the Anthem with two plans
and then see the feedback so I would not hold your breath on the rolling out -
Their old time classic dining people really spoke loudly on this one.

michelle reacted to JasonD in 11 days to go
For me, once you hit that 90 day mark and you can start reserving dining options it becomes more tangible.
I've got a group going in June of 4 rooms right now and we are in the early planning stages and its about to get real complicated.

Hmm - let me try and find out this weekend while on the Freedom, I'll corner my sales rep..

You have to wait until you are on the ship and if you have shore tour, those often go off first and they give you
a ticket but each ship is different - if you are not going a scheduled tour, I usually wait an hour to get off
coming back same thing - get in line at least 45 min before the time scheduled to come back unless
they tell you otherwise on the ship - they will announce the last tender times usually.

I always put cash down but they will ask for a credit card as a back up - if you do not
want to do this, once you get low on the cash side, then your card will not work
and you will have to go back and put more cash down/credit down, to me that
is a hassle, so putting a credit card down as back up is what I always do
Also- you can give yourself Onboard Credit before you sail - then you will have
money to spend once on the ship.

michelle reacted to Galveston Steve in Diamond Member
To become a Diamond member you need to accumulate 80 cruise points. You receive one cruise point per night that you cruise, i.e. 7 cruise points for a 7-night cruise. If you book a suite class stateroom, you earn double cruise points (14 points for a 7 night cruise in a suite, including Junior Suites and up).
One other option is to reach Elite Level on Celebrity Cruises or Explorer Level on Azamara Cruises. Royal Caribbean will match your status on those cruise lines with Crown & Anchor Diamond status just by calling the Crown & Anchor hotline.

michelle reacted to Galveston Steve in packing wine
If you decide to purchase your wine in Galveston, I would suggest Spec's, "Texas' Superstore" for wine, beer, liquor, etc. They have a huge selection of wine and give a discount for using cash or debit card. It's about four miles from the cruise terminal.

if the steamer is plastic you may get it on, but otherwise they take them a lot of times
Downey Wrinkle release actually works pretty good and I use the shower, and steam up
the bathroom while using them on some clothes, just an idea

michelle got a reaction from markinct in What promotions should Royal Caribbean do?
Yep - but not sure I would do the free drinks if the price changes and that is what they usually do

yep agree on the bugs for the Mayan ruins, it made the visit not that fun - there are some small one's on Cozumel you can see
I liked doing an island drive on Cozumel and eating out in town, jet boats are great too
Labadee is a great relaxing day and its fun to sit on the beach and watch the zipliners coming in

Tips are added to the account - but I always bring extra dollars to put in envelopes for the servers
and leave extra money for the room steward as warranted. its fun to see them get excited about
the extras too - Have the best time - and remember to consider rebooking onboard - they often
give you extra incentives to do that.

michelle got a reaction from Lis in CATS replacing Hairspray on Oasis of the Seas
Hmm Not a fan of Cats and I agree its not very relevant. And I did not like RCI's version of Chicago either
Do wish they could do something else.

michelle reacted to bcarney in Why no more Aruba?
Yeah, the October 10, 2015 is the last Adventure sailing posted thus far (thru April 2016) that stops in Aruba and Curacao - so if you want to hit those islands, do it now. Jewel starts going to Aruba on every alternate week starting October 25th. Adventure stays on the southeastern side with some of the usual stops but mixing in Dominica, Martinique, St. Kitts, and Grenada depending on the week.
Adventure is our favorite ship - been on it 4 times - we're just taking Jewel this time around to try out a different class of ship with family and friends (I think it's 18 of us that have dining linked together - thanks Michelle!)
