ajr
Can i activate my seapass with cash or debit card? Do they have a minimum if using cash? Will there be holds to my account if using debit card?
Matt
You can use either but of course your SeaPass card will not work once you run out of funds. My advice is to put a credit card down but go to Guest Relations at any point to deposit cash into your account. Also keep in mind they will not let you leave the ship until your account is paid off in one form or another.
michelle
I always put cash down but they will ask for a credit card as a back up - if you do not want to do this, once you get low on the cash side, then your card will not work and you will have to go back and put more cash down/credit down, to me that is a hassle, so putting a credit card down as back up is what I always do Also- you can give yourself Onboard Credit before you sail - then you will have money to spend once on the ship. DocLC
At one point, there was a minimum amount per day you had to put down, but this may have changed. I once cruised with a friend and they wanted $50 per day, so we ended up using my credit card and he just gave me the cash that he spent. As Michelle said, you can always prepurchased OBC a or use a credit card to register and then pay it off in cash onboard.
