  1. way too pricey for what you get time wise. In Cozumel I recommend Nachi Cocum. Decent food, free drinks, beach, and fresh water pool....limited to appox 130 people each day
  2. I resolved a few cruises ago to do this also. I am mind-blowingly picky. I've tried the escargot too. while is wasn't disgusting, by the five piece i wasn't feeling it anymore.
  3. Travel light. My amazing wife will pack all kinds of crazy things. besides being at 49.9 Lb with her checked luggage she'll have a 40 Lb carry-on and a massive "personal Item". books, chargers, blankets, cross stitch, snacks, vitamins......ETC! She'll do the same on excursions!!! Me I don't want to carry ANYTHING! I am a photographer and won't carry around a camera anymore. Your phone should be good enough for snapshots.
  4. That's truly is horrible. After 26 cruises I have been lucky not to have experienced anything to that extent. I never expect much from staff. Language barriers or lack of giving a S are tough, but I don't get upset...I just expect it, unfortunately. I'm going to have a blast regardless.
  5. Are you staying at Shades of Green ON Disney Property. you can't beat $135.00 a night ON PROPERTY!!
  6. @Matt Don't leave us Texans stranded. Group Cruise!!!!!
  7. Was the city itself busy? Was Sammy's place packed??
  8. Yes, and charge you a $15.00 corkage fee. Do it yourself, &bring your own opener.
  9. Maybe...Don't screw up BBQ here in Texas. They'll sink the ship!!! Remember the Alamo!!!
  10. I've always ordered two drinks with one card when I have the pkg. Times may have changed?
  11. 8:30 seating is great. You won't be rushed on port days to refresh and get to dinner so early. Worse case grab what @Matt calls Pre-Dinner a little Café so and so or Izumi, or Windjammier at 4ish
  12. Don't they ask for your cabin number? Just give one cabin number.
  13. You're allowed a 12 pack of soda or water. CARRY it on though.
  14. I think there are more than 15% of people who avoid the casino because of the smoke. My wife can't get within 200+ ft from the casino.
  15. If you are going solo and want to go cheap try MegaBus. It will need a little more logistics but it's real cheap.
  16. Spend an hour at Ron Jons the rain will pass quickly.
  17. I have never exchanged for Pesos for a cruise. Our visit to Cabo two years ago was for 5 days and that made sense to do so. I have one of my accounts with BBVA (Texas, Florida, Alabama, Colorado, & New Mexico branches). It is a bank headquartered in Alabama BUT it is a bank from Spain and they have branches in Mx. There is NO exchange fees and most like there is a BBVA in any town in Mexico (there was one in Cabo) so no ATM fees also.
  18. I'm hoping @Matt will book some Group Cruises that I can actually go on and not interfere with already booked cruises & life here in Texas. Go Matt!! #2021
  19. A 12 hour drive...sound pricey to me!!
