Cruising Granny

Thanks everyone. Sorry for not being more specific. We would be using it for medical and evacuation. Only cruise the Caribbean and drive to port. Would you suggest Allianz?

Need your thoughts on travel insurance. Have just been using what RC offers but need to know if this is enough.

Thanks Mike. I should have known that - think I read that before. First time cruising with this large a group and age range so trying to get my ducks in a row. First cruise for all of them.

Also looks like we’ll be on the same cruise. Wonder, July 14.

Cruising in July with a group of 8. What kind of picture ID do the little ones need? Will be using birth certificates but don’t know what else we need.

Always amazes me how we “normal” people get that 28 kindergartners is too many in a classroom but “the powers that be” don’t. My last year teaching in FL, 1996, I maxed out at 31 first graders with a part time assistant. Retired now, after teaching in GA. Miss the teaching part and the kiddos but not all the other you have to  put up with now.

Just went on 10 day cruise and looking forward to 2 more this year. Only one during peak “kids time” since we’re taking grands and great grands!

Just received an email saying our St Lucia excursion was cancelled. Hubby was really looking forward to this was. It included Diamond Falls. Anyone have any suggestions for replacement? Guess I’ll be visiting Shore Excursions on the ship

I am also sailing on Sunday and having the same problem. I left home this morning but  printed a copy, took a picture and my granddaughter put it in my Apple Wallet. Hopefully one of these will work Sunday. It is scary to not be able to see things this close to sailing.

So I am sailing out of Miami Sunday, had 11:00 - 11:30 check in and got an email and text today saying if I had that time to please wait and arrive at 12:00. Thoughts on what you would do. I to am a rule follower but want to make sure I get a parking place too.

I didn’t see it either. We are sailing this Sunday and just hoping all is set. If not I guess I’ll just have to do it at the port.

As someone just posted, the app is doing some crazy things with check in right. My is flipping back and forth telling me to start check in and then welcoming me at my scheduled time and showing my set sail pass.

 I did print a copy of set sail pass so hopefully I will be sailing Sunday

OK so I am waiting for the drop of 7 night Wonder cruises for July 2025 (as everyone else is too). My dilemma is that I will be on Grandeur Sunday, Feb 25 - Wed., March 6. I will not have internet, a “poors vintage”, and my TA is out of office for family emergency. I’ve emailed her my preference. Can she book and hold a reservation for me? If she is available. Or should I go to Next Cruise and book? Would she be able to give me a group rate if I go ahead and book and then move to her?

I am so confused. Can anyone help me out?

Sailing on Grandeur Sunday, Feb 25, Terminal G. Is it as bad as A?  
Any suggestions? Driving in with 11:00 check in.

We are checked in with an arrival time.  I went in to add pictures but can’t see it. I also know I scanned passport earlier but can’t see it either. 
Travel info has a green check and says Complete.  Arrival Time has a green check and is there. Health status is not checked and says to do Feb 24 which I knew.  
My question is: Are they there and I just can’t see them?  
Set Sail Pass is ready to be printed.  
Sailing next Sunday and don’t want any surprises!

Bridgetown, Barbados. 
Castries, St Lucia - Excursion to Diamond Falls with Shore Excursions. 
St Kitts - Scenic Railroad Tour with RC

Just trying to see what to do on our own.

Sailing on Grandeur out of Miami, terminal G, Feb 25. Will be driving down and staying with a friend about 1 1/2 hours from the port. Usually sail out of PC, new to Miami. Suggestions on what you would do. Thoughts on what is easier. TIA

Should we stay at hotel and then park at the port or stay and park at hotel?

Been following this blog for awhile but first time posting. Love this blog. Feel like I’m taking an advanced course in Cruising - too much good info for Cruising 101.

Just returned from Mariner Aug. 12. Previous 2 were on Wonder so wasn’t sure about “down sizing “ ship. Must say we had a great cruise! Nothing negative to say. We even enjoyed the MDR. Maybe we just aren’t picky eaters. Food was hot, served in a timely fashion, great waiter and assistant. Room steward was also good. Met him on first day as soon as cabins were ready. Did a great job - cleaning and meeting our requests.
