  1. Now THIS is what I'm talking about!! Missed ya, bud. I still remember your blog about San Juan and I've been wanting to go there ever since!
  2. I just can't have loved this blog enough!!! Thank you for taking us with you and your beautiful family. May God bless your girls as they grow into the fantastic women y'all have raised them to be.
  3. On the RCB group cruise on Wonder in Dec '22, we did a bar crawl and I'm 98 3/4% sure that the Irish Car Bomb annhilated me. I can drink my liquor, but mixing with a beer, even a Guinness, is just a bad idea. Gimme a dozen Patron shots instead!!! Travel mercies to all of y'all going home.
  4. I adore your Blogs, but I always feel like I've fallen into the Bougie Pit!! I just made Diamond on our last cruise so haven't even tasted it yet, but I'm like 98 3/4% sure I'll never get to sail in a suite, much less the one you guys are in. My personal genie sounds magical.
  5. We were so blessed on our Wonder cruise week before last - nary a drop of rain to be found! PDCC was so great, even the balloon was flying. That pic of the thruster-buster day makes me sad.
  6. I'll preface this with the proud declaration that I've lost (well, had lost) 34 pounds since Dec, so my appetite isn't nearly what it has been all of my life. I have always gotten the 3 Night Specialty deal but it never went down, so we ate in the MDR (deck 3, table 214 (Ni and Godwin)) every night, save two (Solarium Bistro (outstanding) and the jammer (pretty good). After reading so many negative reviews, especially after BMC (big menu change), regarding MDR food, my bar was set very low and I was prepared to just skip it and eat in the WinJamerr all week. But, to my happy surprise, I thought the food was great! I mean, of all the courses we had, only one thing was not good, and that was the prime rib and it was just too grisly to eat. We usually opted for 3 appetizers (the onion soup may have been the best) and 3 desserts to share. The creme brulee was fabulous, as always. I wish I could remember more details, but the food coma I was in all week degraded my memory (along with the Patron/Grand Marnier margaritas). Service was fast, efficient, and excellent. I did make the cardinal mistake of weighing myself the other day, and now I'm angry with myself for losing my food/drink discipline. I gained 12lbs, which is so much more than usual. I usually don't gain at all. All of the alcohol and food has made my legs super swollen, and I know a lot of my new tonnage is in them. So, my motto is "Don't believe everything you read on the internet" because it was waaay better than I was led to believe.
  7. YAYYYY! I love your blogs so much! We were on Wonder last week, and this week has annihilated me, so I haven't been here all week. Luckily I saw your post on Instagram so I had to run over here. So glad it's only page 3 and I can try to keep up. I hope the four of you have a fabulous sailing!!!
  8. I'm so glad you posted. I was beginning to think my wife and I were the only ones sailing! Don't forget to check in....now. Seriously - now.
  9. I've been waiting and watching for two months to see if the internet and 3-night dining got a Black Friday week deal, or a cyber Monday. Nope. Nada. Zilch. I guess RC doesn't feel the need to put things on special if the ship is full and folks are already buying this stuff.
  10. When I first saw the title, I thought this was going to be about the newer class of small ships.
  11. Excellent blog - bravo! Alllllmost as fun as the Suite Queen LtC Question about Hooked (we didn't eat there on WoS last Dec) - can you get more than one entrée at a seating?
  12. So far, nothing still. Looking for internet, a better DBP, and probably a 3-night specialty dining, but none of them have come down at all. Trying to be patient.
  13. Sorry, y'all - I should have been clearer. Our Wonder sailing is 2/25/24 Nothing new this morning....
  14. On the desktop, for our 2/25 Wonder cruise, there's bupkis. Nada. Squat. I guess I'll look on my phone...
  15. That's such BS - they know that 90% of readers are going to see "60% off" and jump on the meager sales. Otherwise, if it were such a good deal, 100% of readers would it.
  16. We've stayed at the Radison for 7 of our 8 cruises, and have always enjoyed it. It is getting so expensive, though. I have a friend who lives close by and I think I'll see about staying the night before our next cruise in Feb and ubering to the port. He works at KSC and has offered, so I think I'm going to take him up on it.
  17. If only. Living in Charleston; September is big hurricane season and if one visits, I need to be home just in case. Besides, I am totally unworthy of sailing with you all until I do a suite sailing!!!
  18. Dang - is no one on here sailing Wonder on 2/25? Come on, Suite Life Queen - grab hubby and the girls!!! Just tell the school board that you have better things to do! And I agree about WayToooooooooo - she and hubby are awesome peeps.
  19. FYI - it's going to be crowded at Coco Cay when we're there. Our dockmate will be Odyssey of the Seas.
  20. What is this "suite lounge" of which you speak? Hahahaha The only way I'll ever visit there is if I take a job as a waiter!!
  21. Just WOW. It's been a while, and I'd forgotten how detailed and awesome your blogs are!!! BRAVO to you and your family. I just spent over an hour reading this and that was from page 2 (I had started back then but was overwhelmed, and then that pesky Idalia decided to drop by). I have been watching your excursions on IG, but this is so much more fun. Matt mentioned tonight to check out your tête-à-tête with the waiter/head chef in WJ and it was worth it. I kinda wish you had been more vocal - they need to know. Thank you so much for taking such time to share with us. Safe travels home tomorrow!
  22. My wife and I both got sick last year on Harmony (me first (thought it was food poisoning, but it wasn't), then her). Since we tried to do the responsible thing, I stayed in the room nearly all the time for the first 3 days (and a mask when out), and she did the same for the last 4. Sorrento's was our saving grace. It's just fine as a pizza offering, but so much better when it's most of what you can eat. BTW - the DBP beat my ass on that cruise, and my goal is to never let that happen again!
  23. RCL has announced a name change - Utopia of the Seas will be re-branded Nuketopia of the Seas. First glimpse of the new Captain:
  24. Meanwhile, 93 people are currently dead, with that toll sure to rise significantly. Y'all....
